The debut of Alfa Romeo Brera took place in 2005. The first modification was presented in the back of a coupe and subsequently did not change. But this is not surprising. The manufacturer assigned this model to the class of sports. A convertible was later introduced. The Italians made every effort to embody all the necessary qualities in the Brera sports car model: acceleration to 100 km / h in less than 9 seconds, a high level of aerodynamic properties, maneuverability, design and much more.
History of Alfa Romeo Brera
As for the history of the car, not everything went so smoothly here. Although the presentation in the Geneva salon of the original version was successful in 2002, the model was launched into serial production only three years later, that is, in 2005. Light restyling was carried out already in 2008. His results were presented in Paris.
For a relatively short period of release, the sports car received a high award and was recognized as the most beautiful car. Prizes for participating in races have also been awarded to Brera more than once. Acceleration to 100 km / h in some versions took less than 7 seconds, which allowed to have small advantages over other models.
However, despite such merits, the car was produced only 5 years. During this time, about 35 thousand copies were sold. In 2010, the model was completely discontinued, but sales of the remaining cars still lasted about one year.

- JTDM series turbodiesel engine, designed for a volume of 2.4 liters, installed in Brera, acceleration to 100 takes 7.9 seconds, power indicator 210 hp
Modification of passenger cars with 2.2 liter engines running on diesel and gasoline has front-wheel drive. While the equipment with the V6 unit belongs to the class of all-wheel drive cars, and in addition it is equipped with a Torsen system.
Equipment 2008
Modification of cars in 2008 has undergone some changes. These innovations affected the interior equipment and mechanical components. So, for example, the 3.2 L V6 power unit has been delivered both front-wheel and all-wheel drive. Because of this, the speed indicators have significantly increased and reaching the mark of 250 km / h was quite easy on the updated Brera, acceleration to 100 on the mechanics ranged from 6.8 to 7 seconds, on the machine - consistently 7 seconds. In the range of this series was introduced differential with high internal resistance. Developers and designers managed to reduce the specific gravity of the machine through the use of aluminum in production.
2009 changes
In 2009, a turbocharged engine running on gasoline was included in the lineup. Engine displacement amounted to 1, 740 cu. see. It was equipped with a fuel injection function, as well as phase variators operating on the intake and exhaust distribution shafts.
The creators of this concept pleased their potential buyers with a limited series of cars created in tandem of two brands - Brera and Spider, released in close cooperation with Italia Independent. A feature of the cars of this brand is a neutral color, reminiscent of titanium gloss, equipped with 18-inch wheels, as well as an overlay made of aluminum, located on the lid of the filler neck of the car.
Even now, Alfa Romeo Brera (the characteristics fully comply with the requirements for the representatives of the sports segment) are quite relevant and in demand.
