Not immediately from the Polotsk cadet corps, created in 1835, the modern Brest regional cadet school was formed. Although many beautiful traditions, after a hundred and a half years, were not only remembered, but also were put into practice. For example, the motto "Life is to the Motherland, honor is to nobody!" The cadet corps of Polotsk ceased to exist in 1918. And in 1953, a not so distant year, the Minsk Suvorov School opened, gaining fame for its graduates - the famous military leaders.
Story
Times are changing fast, but military people are necessary in any of them. A cadet school for orphans appeared in Mogilev in 2002, and four years later cadet classes opened in Yastrembelsky boarding school. More than sixty girls and boys then studied military affairs there.
And in 2011, on the orders of the regional executive committee, Yastrembel’s boarding school was reorganized into the Brest Regional Cadet School. Now there are trained two hundred and four young cadets who arrived from different parts of Belarus. So from several military-patriotic classes opened on the basis of the boarding school, an educational institution was created, which almost every Belarusian boy and many, very many girls dream of doing.
Today
Students are admitted to the Brest Regional Cadet School from the eighth to eleventh grade. In total, today there are nine platoons (classes) of cadets, with each class two wise educators working with each other. The Baranavichy military garrison is a recognized chief of the school, and the influence of these officers greatly affects the military-patriotic education of the cadets.
Not a single district or city event takes place without the participation of the pupils of the cadet classes. They happen at thematic meetings, they win in sports and various competitions. The amateur activity, in which most of the cadets are engaged, is also good.
Accomplishments and rewards
At the civil-patriotic competitions of 2008-2011 with the name “For the honor of the Fatherland!”, In which fifteen pupils of all cadet corps of the Republic of Belarus took part, the Brest Regional Cadet School showed excellent training. The changes took place in the health-improving republican camp Zubrenok. The cadets showed how versatile young people they are.
The army song television festival brought the two cadets the third place in the republic. And the pupil who is proud of the Brest Regional Cadet School (Yastrembel) also became the best writer of the republican junior creative contest: in 2010, Igor Grischuk won the nomination "Story or poem dedicated to the forest and foresters". For an excellent military-patriotic education , the school director received a medal at the request of the Union of Officers.
The main tasks of patriotic education
A. G. Lukashenko very carefully monitors how new generations are growing, actual priorities are identified, and the tasks of the modern school are set. The main thing that is planned is accomplished by an unbroken chain: this is the connection of generations, respect for the history of the state, human values, love for the motherland and the people who inhabit it, the desire for peace and harmony between people. Cadet corps is even more relevant than ordinary secondary schools.
The future military is much more educated in a moral and ethical spirit, and civic education is on par with the artistic, aesthetic and intellectual development. Be sure to instill the skills of a healthy lifestyle. That is why the Brest Regional Cadet School receives the most positive feedback from graduates. The educational process of the school itself implements the program of the military educational component.
Cadet Day
This holiday is held annually in November, and the cadets selflessly prepare for it for a whole year: in addition to joy and excitement, for them it is an indescribable pride in their own belonging to such a noble concept as cadetism. This day is extremely important for everyone, because the Brest Regional Cadet School receives both familiar and unfamiliar guests on this day. The address for those who plan to get acquainted with the activities of the school: the Republic of Belarus, Baranavichy district of the Brest region, Yastrembel, Kadetsky lane, house 2.
The ceremonial event cadet day shows absolutely all aspects of the life of the school. Each platoon prepares a presentation “I am a cadet”, a contest for the best system and song is held, a military band accompanies each unit with a solemn march. It is on this day that cadets for the best achievements are awarded with valuable gifts and certificates, the challenge pennant "The Best Cadet Platoon" is awarded, and the titles of "Vice Cadet" and "Senior Vice Cadet" are awarded.
Stocks
No wonder cadet schools are considered the best place for beneficial personal growth. Here, the activities of each pupil are literally minute by minute organized, not one of them is ever idle. Work in the hands and thought in the head is the creed of the educational process that embodies the Brest Regional Cadet School of the village of Yastrembel. GUOSO (state institution of general secondary education), not everyone can present such effective programs.
Nevertheless, cadets and unprogrammed actions are sometimes committed. This concerns the only case when students literally failed the Brest Regional Cadet School. “Pursuit” - a coat of arms canceled by the referendum of 1995, not forbidden in any way, but for some reason accepted by the Belarusian opposition, a group of cadets demonstrated on a social network depicted on their T-shirts. Naturally, the opposition (for the most part Ukrainian for some reason), having seen this photo, joyfully exclaimed that "the Polish has not yet disappeared" ... But it is unlikely that the Cadets really are like-minded people.
Agitation
The campaign work of the school is at the highest level. One of the ongoing actions is a performance in the Baranavichy House of Culture in front of the seventh grades of all schools in the city. Thus, more than six hundred people can assess their chances of entering the Brest Regional Cadet School.
2015 brought a very good competition for every cadet position. Special outreach campaigns to Pinsk, Ivatsevichi, Lyakhovichi, for example, where there is live communication in addition to the concert program, also help the set. Nonresident schoolchildren communicate with cadets and the school administration.
Tourism
Very often, cadet pupils make local history trips around their native land, thoroughly preparing for each one: they study the route, prepare equipment, determine the number of products according to the compiled menu. Campaigns are most often hiking and last several days. Literally at the beginning of April 2016, a trekking passage was made from Yastrembel through Malye and Velikiye Luki, Bogushi, and finally Mlynok back to his native threshold. Everywhere, the cadets got acquainted with the history of each place, visited museums, examined sights and memorable places. Home they brought wonderful memories and new acquaintances. For example, a school teacher and poet I.I. Montik and craftswoman E. S. Bernat left a lasting impression. The beauty of products woven from cattail was beyond praise. But of course, the cadets experienced special feelings when they visited the former base for storing nuclear warheads.
The other two platoons at the same time visited Nesvizh and Mir castles, seeing exceptional architectural beauties that have existed in their native land since the sixteenth century. Not in vain both of these castles are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the cadets returned to the school filled with enthusiasm. The luxury and beauty of these castles is simply unbelievable. And the story is so rich that emotionally charged for life even barely touching them. Everything happened there: love and misery, disappointment, war, intrigue and mystery, loyalty and betrayal. Naturally, the guys returned home, full of not only new energy, but also pride and awe.
Atypical items
The first of these is choreography. Yes, cadets of the Brest School are mainly trained in ballroom dancing. Modern dances are also studied a little, but the main thing is the classics. And at the balls (even in Minsk!) All kinds of mazurk are performed by the cadets. And even their own cadet waltz is already present in their repertoire, written together with the teachers of the school.
Next is sewing. Of course, girls learn. The equipment is modern, it was acquired by a charity fund from Italy. Therefore, girls with graduation do not just know how to sew. They become professionals, receiving a diploma and even a working rank.
