Causes of the disease
Most often, flux is the result of advanced caries, passing into pulpitis or periodontitis, which lead to the spread of infection to bone tissue.
The inflammatory process, accompanied by edema, can develop with exacerbation of chronic periodontitis, difficult
tooth extraction, fracture of the
jaw, osteomyelitis.In children, tooth flux can occur when an infection gets through the blood or lymph during infectious diseases of the throat, for example, with tonsillitis.
Flux effects
Tooth flux, as a rule, does not pass on its own. The disease can subside for a while, but the inflammatory process in the bone tissue will continue. If periostitis is not treated on time , it can turn into life-threatening complications. In this case, pus extends beyond the affected area. Then an abscess or an even more serious disease develops - phlegmon, which is characterized by a very high temperature and penetration of pus into the subcutaneous tissue and intermuscular space of the neck and face. At the stage, the patient's phlegmon is usually delivered to the hospital for an ambulance.
Flux treatment
Tooth flux treatment is necessary only in the dental clinic. About any recovery of folk remedies at home is out of the question.
