Khovrinsky hospital

For decades, a huge unfinished building, similar to a ghost ship, has been fearful for residents of the northern outskirts of Moscow. Khovrinsky hospital has long been notorious among the people. No matter how they call it: the house of horror, and the citadel of darkness, and the cradle of nightmares. And not without reason. It remains only a mystery what horrors hide these gloomy walls.

Khovrinsky hospital
It all started in 1981, back under the Soviets. Then the Khovrinsky hospital was a grand construction. They planned to build a huge medical center, which had no analogues in the USSR. According to the project, the center consisted of six 10-story buildings and accommodated 1,300 patients. It was planned to place a helipad for ambulance helicopters on the roof, as well as to make numerous entrances for transport. In those days, and even now, the Khovrinsky Hospital would have become the largest, most spacious and modern medical complex.

Legends say that construction began at the place where the old Russian cemetery used to be. Therefore, the construction site was constantly visited by failures, which clearly did not contribute to the construction of the facility. Old-timers say that once upon a time there was a huge marshy swamp. And, most likely, this is true. After all, a fully built building slowly and irreversibly descends lower and lower into groundwater. This happens even today: during construction and to date, the draft is 12 meters. The first floor of the building is almost completely flooded with water.

In 1985, construction was stopped. And from the time when the last worker left this building, the Khovrinsky hospital began to live a life full of secrets and tragedies.

Khovrinsky hospital of legend
Since the 80s of the 20th century, hospitals have been missing in the district, and many people have been found dead and mutilated. And within the walls of an abandoned building dark personalities arranged their terrible rituals .

The people of Khovrinsky hospital received the name "Umbrella". All because of its strange shape, which resembles the logo of a secret corporation from the films Resident Evil and the computer game Resident Evil. Some even see the interweaving of two skulls as a hospital.

After the construction was stopped, the abandoned building became a haven for the satanic sect Nemostor. In the gloomy walls of the hospital, they performed their terrible satanic rituals. It was rumored that they sacrificed not only animals, but also people. In the Khovrinsky hospital area, people and animals really began to disappear. This could not but attract the attention of law enforcement officers. They began to hunt the Satanists, as a result, the sect disappeared. And no one knows what happened to them. Rumor has it that the police drove them into a tunnel under the building, and there everyone was shot, then flooding the tunnel. And since the Khovrinsk abandoned hospital became the place of their death , the ghosts of Satanists still wander through the tunnels of the building in search of revenge.

Many who have visited the abandoned building say they heard some strange sounds, children's screams and cries, saw how something was rushing along the dilapidated walls and corridors of the hospital.

Khovrinsk abandoned ghost hospital
This old abandoned building has already taken a lot of human lives. They find someone, someone not. All local residents still remember how one old woman in search of her missing dog went to the Khovrinsky hospital. She fell into one of the holes in the floor of the building, broke her legs and died a slow and painful death.

Another high-profile victim of the hospital was a young 16-year-old guy nicknamed "The Edge." He committed suicide by jumping into the elevator shaft. What made the guy do this is still not known. Maybe it's from unrequited love, or maybe it's the black influence of an abandoned building. According to legend, his ghost is still somewhere in the mines of the Khovrinsky hospital.

Oddly enough, but the eerie and gloomy atmosphere of the building, like a magnet, attracts the curious. Today in this abandoned building hiding wild and scary homeless people. Satanists, punks and Goths make their pilgrimages here.

How long this story will last, no one knows. Indeed, the construction and reconstruction of the building will require enormous funds, which, unfortunately, simply do not exist. Therefore, apparently, the "citadel of darkness" for a long time will terrify the entire district.
