The entire global automotive industry can be safely divided into three so-called automobile whales. We are talking about European, Japanese and American cars. There is a fourth category - all the others, but we are not interested in this case.
Undoubtedly, each of these giants is authentic, has an interesting history of development and worthy representatives who, from year to year, rivet thousands of eyes at the world's best auto forums. We know everything about European cars (or almost everything), the "Japanese" are also widely represented in domestic spaces, but American car brands are something more distant and therefore even more interesting.
There is no point in dwelling on the history of the American automobile industry as a whole - it is too rich and individual in relation to each individual manufacturer. And it will be about the most popular American cars.
Lincoln
Everything related to the Lincoln brand is primarily associated with the presidential car.
Indeed, the car has always held the brand of the executive class. It was used by senior officials of the White House, and to have such a car in private ownership was considered incredibly prestigious. American cars in Moscow in the late 90s and early 2000s were most often represented by this particular brand and Cadillac, and only 10 years ago models of such companies as Chrysler and Dodge began to appear in large numbers. However, the American auto giant is forced to keep up to date, and in recent years it has significantly updated its lineup. The new cars, of course, didn’t lose a single gram in quality, but, unfortunately, there wasn’t any left of that zest, thanks to which the Lincoln was recognized at first glance.
Jeep
The name of the car of this brand has long been a household name. "SUV" has long been called any SUV, and that says a lot. First of all, that American
auto brands have always been famous for their reliability. Perhaps the most famous brainchild of the Jeep concern is the Cherokee model, it can often be found on domestic roads.
Dodge
Automobile concern "Dodge" produces cars, SUVs, pickups and commercial vehicles. The company was founded in 1900. The first car left the assembly line 14 years later. In the second half of the last century, the manufacturer was active in two segments: sports cars and executive class.
The situation changed at the turn of the millennium, when the company began to position its machines as more affordable models, and active cooperation began with Mitsubishi and Chrysler.
Ford
It’s hard to imagine American car brands without the good old Ford. The lineup of this giant has more than 20 representatives of a huge family, 2 of them (Focus and Mondeo) are also produced in the Russian Federation. "Ford" is a vivid example of a national car, in terms of mass and popularity, it has long and firmly headed all the ratings, even on domestic roads. Like other American auto brands, Ford has a high level of safety and good driving performance.
