The current level of development of a market economy in Russia has strengthened international economic ties with other countries. Today, a huge number of various consumer goods are imported into our country, including fashionable branded clothing. However, the pleasure of shopping for many is overshadowed by the inability to choose the right thing for themselves.
The fact is that far from all of our fellow citizens have become accustomed to determining the parameters for matching each other with the sizes of clothes produced in different countries. But there really is something to understand. Not only does one and the same seemingly size have in each country its own parameters (adapted for the local population), so the names of the sizes themselves differ. For example, Russian 42 is about 34-36 German size (depending on the model and material of each specific thing). To clearly determine which sizes are right for you, you need to have at least a general idea of ββall existing sizes.

The dimensional grid for clothes in each country is different. In order to choose the right size for male or female clothing of a foreign brand, each person needs to know their type of figure and individual parameters, determined by elementary taking measurements with a centimeter. When determining the sizes of brand clothes from different countries, it is easiest to proceed from international standards with a letter designation - XS, M, S, L, XL, etc. The smallest adult is the XS-marked international lettering. If we proceed from the parameters of the figure and follow the standards, then the XS size corresponds to the Russian 40th size and sometimes 42th (depending on the characteristics of each particular brand of clothing). For an accurate determination, you should use special correspondence tables, for example, this:
Conformity table for Russian and international sizes for women
International standard | XS | S | M | L | XL | XXL |
Russian the size | from 40 to 42 | 44 | from 46 to 48 | fifty | from 52 to 54 | 56 |
Chest (in cm) | 81-85 | 86-92 | 91-95 | 96-102 | 103-109 | 110-114 |
Waist (in cm) | 61-65 | 66-70 | 70-75 | 78- 83 | 84-90 | 92-97 |
Hips (in cm) | 88-93 | 93-98 | 97-103 | 104-109 | 110-115 | 116-122 |

It is known that the male and female figures are very different, so the parameters of these sizes will be absolutely unacceptable for men. This means that according to the parameters that correspond to the female XS size, one should not judge what the male XS size should be. If you neglect this rule, then you may be able to determine, therefore, only the size of unisex t-shirts made from viscose, but even then no one will guarantee that you will not be mistaken. Cotton t-shirts do not stretch as well as viscose. To determine the size of men's and women's t-shirts should also adhere to the general standards of conformity of sizes. In order to determine what modern Russian size the international men's size XS will correspond to, you need, as in the case of women's sizes, use a special table:
