Today it’s hard to imagine the life of a modern person without using a computer and similar devices. But even the most high-quality and modern computer can sometimes fail, violating all user plans. In some cases, breakdowns turn out to be insignificant, that is, those that can be completely dealt with independently, without the help of relevant specialists. One of these situations is a fairly simple malfunction when the monitor screen flickers. In fact, in this problem there is nothing that could not be done without the intervention of specialists. Just not every user knows exactly how to deal with this problem.
So, first of all, it is necessary to carry out such a simple operation as demagnetization of the monitor. Each monitor needs to complete this procedure over time, so every user should know it. To bring the monitor back to normal, you need to find on its dashboard a button such as “monitor screen settings” and go into it. In the appropriate menu, find the necessary command and demagnetize. This procedure is not complicated, so you will spend a maximum of 2 minutes on its implementation. But if after that the monitor screen flickers, then demagnetization has absolutely nothing to do with it, and the problem must be sought elsewhere.
The second step to resolve this problem is that you will need to change the refresh rate of the monitor screen. As a rule, the digital value of this value will need to be increased, although there are cases with a decrease in frequency. To do this, you will need to right-click on the desktop (in the free sector, that is, not on the shortcut) and select "Properties". Next, select the “Parameters” item and click on the “Advanced” button below. From the tabs that appear, select the “Monitor” tab and in the corresponding pop-up window - the desired frequency. In many cases, the monitor screen flickers it is because of the too low refresh rate of the screen. By the way, the higher the refresh rate of the screen, the less your eyes will get tired!
Another very simple way to eliminate the flicker of the monitor is to carefully examine the environment around the monitor and make a small rearrangement of objects that can cause electromagnetic oscillation, and therefore ripples on the monitor screen.
Now consider the option when your computer was exposed to a serious virus attack. This could happen by accident or on purpose, but the effect of this can be quite significant and even disastrous for your computer. It is necessary to carefully check the computer for various programs that are popularly called viruses. Naturally, your antivirus should be updated to the latest date. As a rule, an anti-virus program almost always finds several viruses that, as it were, do not affect the operation of the system, but their presence is not necessary at all.
If after such a check the monitor screen flickers anyway, then there may be problems with the video card drivers. They could be outdated or damaged, so they will not be able to perform their functions, which means that they must either be reinstalled or restored. Of course, reinstalling will give you more guarantees that the system will work correctly! Finding and downloading the appropriate drivers on your video card is not a problem right now. Therefore, you can safely proceed to the resuscitation of the monitor.
We examined the main problems that cause the monitor to flicker. If after all of the above, your monitor continues to flicker, then you will have to seek the help of specialists. Although, most likely, you still have to purchase a new monitor.
