A sweet dream: the biggest chocolates in the world

White or black, bitter or milk, with the addition of various fillers or with its own unique taste - all types of chocolate cannot be listed. Each year, more than 3.5 million tons of cocoa beans are collected in the world, from which this sweet treat is made.

It is believed that chocolate has the properties of an antidepressant: even a small piece can significantly raise the mood. What then to speak about the largest chocolates, which more than once produced factories in different countries.

The longest tile

The world's first solid chocolate bar appeared at the beginning of the 19th century. Before that, it was consumed only in the form of a sweet drink. A new form of goodies quickly gained popularity. And soon chocolate factories began to appear.

Since then, manufacturers have been trying to attract the attention of lovers of sweets, coming up with new fillings, tastes and forms of the product. A rather successful marketing move was the production of a huge tile, which attracted the attention of customers from many countries.

There were several such samples. One of the most memorable chocolates was the tile, created in 2007 in Italy, in the city of Turin. The masters of the confectionery company Rivarolo created the dream of a sweet tooth longer than 11 meters. Its sizes were officially recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, and several hundred residents of Turin were able to verify the taste.

Several dozen masters for almost 4 days created a delicious masterpiece. And no wonder: its length was 5.68 meters, and the width slightly exceeded a meter. The weight of a delicious giant was 4410 kilograms.

The factory management explained that they decided to create this sweet masterpiece by the tenth anniversary of the company. It is noteworthy that the presentation was attended by representatives of the Guinness Book of Records, who not only immediately set a record, but also appreciated the taste of the goodies.

For a whole year, sweet tiles created by Armenian confectioners were considered the largest chocolate bar. Meticulous viewers determined that this treat should be enough for one person for 450 years. Of course, no one began to wait so long, and everyone present could taste a piece of chocolate.

Soon, the result of confectioners from Armenia exceeded the masters of the American company World's Finest Chocolate, located in Illinois. They had tried several times to set a sweet record. In September 2011, the largest chocolate bar in the world was presented . Its weight was 5574 kilograms, and they could only lift it with the help of special cables.

To cook this giant, they used 544 kilograms of almonds, 770 kg of cocoa butter, 907 kg of milk powder and more than two tons of sugar. For flavor, 640 kg of chocolate liquor was added to the mixture. No one knows how long it took to create this masterpiece, but the efforts were worth it. Photos of the largest chocolates were published in all world editions, and World's Finest Chocolate sweets sales skyrocketed.

The creators did not stop at demonstrating huge tiles in their native Chicago and sent their masterpiece on a tour of US cities. The purpose of the trip was to draw attention to a healthy diet and refrain from overeating. They transported a huge chocolate bar on a special truck with a transparent body.

Chocolate square

The biggest chocolate bar in the world

To date, the glory of the largest chocolate bar belongs to the product of the British Thorntons confectionery company. The tile was released by the centenary of its foundation, and the final weight of the delicacy was almost 75 thousand standard tiles of this company.

The huge dream of sweet tooth is made in the form of a square with sides of 4 meters and weighs 5792.5 kilograms. At a festive ceremony, company leaders said that more than fifty experienced employees worked on the manufacture of tiles. Pouring the sweet mass into the mold lasted 10 hours, and then for almost three days the chocolate cooled and solidified.

Representatives of the Guinness Book of Records were invited to the holiday, who officially fixed the parameters of the giant goodies and issued a confirmation certificate. Since then, the answer to the question, which chocolate is the largest in the world, remains unchanged.

It was not only the size that was surprising in this chocolate bar: after all the guests tasted it, parts of the tile were transferred to candy stores. And the funds received from the sale of these pieces, the company sent to charity.

Large chocolates available

Unfortunately, or maybe not, chocolates weighing several tons are very rarely produced. But there is always the opportunity to please loved ones with unusually large tiles of their favorite varieties of sweets. For example, in addition to the 100 gram packaging familiar from childhood, the Krasny Oktyabr factory began to produce the largest chocolate bar, Alenka. Its weight is twice as much as usual - 200 grams. Fortunately, only the size has changed, but the usual taste of a delicate milk treat remained.

Big chocolate "Milka"

Milka, a popular sweet tooth company, went even further by offering customers 300 grams of tiles, a little more than three regular desserts. The largest chocolate "Milka" is presented in several flavors (with whole nuts and caramel, with Milka Oreo cookies), so everyone will choose a sweetness to their liking.
