Sweet desserts bring a little bit of pleasure and happiness to everyday life, even nutritionists sometimes allow themselves to be pampered with something sweet. In the next publication, we describe a recipe for real English muffins - the closest relatives of muffins. The main difference between these two products is in size, shape and internal filler.
Muffins are small buns with a light and airy texture. From a nutritional point of view, the dish is less greasy, unlike muffin. For convenience, we will call the product a blueberry muffin, since this berry is used as the filling. By the way, any fruit, jam, jam, cottage cheese, chocolate can act as a filler. Indulge yourself with an amazing English dessert that will cheer you up and fill your home with a delicious aroma. We’ll say right away: you’ll have to be a little over the dish, but, believe me, all the work will be justified. Ingredients for the dough:
- one and a half glasses of flour;
- one egg;
- 150 ml of milk;
- half a glass of kefir;
- 60 g butter (softened);
- 1.5 dessert spoons of baking powder;
- ½ teaspoon of soda;
- granulated sugar to taste;
- lemon peel - about 10 g;
- fresh or frozen blueberries in an amount of 200 grams.
Cream Products:
- butter (50 g);
- cream cheese (60 g);
- vanillin;
- 5 g of lemon juice;
- powdered sugar.
Technological process
To bake a blueberry muffin, you will need paper or silicone molds. First, knead the dough from the dry ingredients: mix the flour, baking powder, soda and sugar. In a separate container, beat the egg with butter until smooth, then pour the milk, kefir and rub the zest. Combine the flour and creamy mass.
The dough is almost ready, it remains to fill the berries, mix gently without squeezing the blueberries. Using a spoon, we spread the sweet mass in the molds, previously greased with oil. We bake in a preheated oven at 200C, not more than 7 minutes, so that the dough inside remains juicy. Ready muffins (blueberry muffins) should be cooled before applying a creamy mass.
Make a fondant: with a mixer, beat cream cheese, butter, vanillin and lemon juice. Gradually add the icing sugar. You get a thick mixture with which we coat the surface of the baked products. We give refreshments to cool, serve with hot drinks (tea, coffee). Instead of cream, you can use fresh berries, whipped cream, chocolate chips.
Apple and blueberry muffin: recipe in a slow cooker
If you have a multicooker in the kitchen, the cooking process becomes easier and faster. The harvester is the best assistant for any housewife. It is in it that we will bake a fragrant cake. Essential products for the recipe:
- a little less than a glass of milk;
- 150 grams of granulated sugar;
- 100 g butter;
- four eggs;
- 1.5 cups flour;
- baking powder - 15 g.
Two apples and a glass of berries are also required.
Instruction manual
Beat the eggs in a thick foam, then add sugar, without turning off the mixer. Then we put the melted butter, pour in the warm milk, sift the flour. Mix well and pour in the remaining ingredients (vanillin, baking powder). The result is a batter, like pancakes. Peel the apples, grate the pulp.
Put all the fruits in the dough. Pour the mass into the multicooker bowl. Set the “Baking” mode to 50 minutes. Blueberry muffins will surprise you with a pleasant taste, delicate structure and softness. The product can be prepared in the oven, pouring the dough into small molds.
