Current development

If you travel quite often on the Moscow metro, its development plan is surely an interesting and relevant topic for you. So, the prospects for the next few years are fixed in the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. But do not forget that some adjustments and changes are possible.

So, at the beginning of last (2016), it was decided to extend the Sokolnicheskaya line from the Salaryevo station. Thus, a new 9 km stretch will appear. It will be represented by 4 new stations. The Moscow government will allocate about 40 billion rubles to extend this branch. The next section of the Sokolnicheskaya line will grow in the direction of the Kaluga highway (New Moscow). The intersection with it, according to preliminary plans, will be hidden in the tunnel.

2017 will be dedicated to the development of Lublin-Dmitrovskaya. It must be admitted that transport accessibility in this direction is a real problem for residents. But even the appearance of the new Seligerskaya station will not solve the problem to the full - residents of new areas will have to use land transport for now.

Kozhukhovskaya line is another significant object indicated in the near future for the development of the Moscow metro. The development plan assumes that it will proceed from the new residential areas of Nekrasovka and Kosino to the Nizhny Novgorod station.

To summarize

New Moscow is a grandiose and large-scale project of the Moscow government. That is why this direction has been chosen as a priority; the Moscow metro will actively grow and develop in that direction. It is difficult to say by what year the site will be covered by stations, but changes have already begun. Of course, most stations in this direction will be terrestrial, which will not affect the popularity of the Moscow metro. The development plan does not cease to be updated, so stay tuned for the next news to always stay abreast of all changes.
