Gum disease: treatment is possible!

It is believed that the root cause of gum disease is careless hygiene and insufficient tooth cleansing. This is not entirely true. There is no doubt that poor dental care provokes the process of inflammation, accelerates the formation of stone (dental) and the development of bacteria, but some diseases can also provoke inflammation. Diabetes mellitus, hereditary predisposition, infectious or heart diseases, improper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, hormonal malfunctions or too high dosages of some drugs can lead to the development of gum inflammation in a person who is careful about himself. Treatment is recommended to start as quickly as possible. Before treating inflamed gums, the doctor must establish not only the cause of the inflammation, but also its type.

The simplest gum disease, the treatment of which sometimes involves changing the diet, is called periodontal disease. Some doctors refuse to consider it a disease, and not without reason. Periodontal disease occurs when a person eats too little solid food and does not give the teeth enough stress. To solve the problem, just change the diet: eat more nuts, hard fruits or vegetables. The benefits will be many times over: inflammation will disappear, teeth will be strengthened, and the body will be enriched with useful substances.

A more complex disease is gingivitis. This gum disease treatment implies immediate. Gingivitis affects the gums, tooth tissue, accompanied by bleeding, putrid odor during conversation, swelling, and sometimes temperature. Some patients try to independently treat gum disease. Treatment with folk remedies, of course, exists, but it should accompany the course of drugs prescribed by the doctor, and not replace it. Because untreated gingivitis is a direct path either to tooth loss, or to another, more serious disease - periodontitis.

This is what gum inflammation is called, the treatment of which is delayed for a long time, and if the patient contacts the doctor too late, it may be unsuccessful. With periodontitis, inflammation is rapidly transmitted from the gums to the tissues of the teeth. Very often, patients with periodontitis in a short time lose all their teeth.

Can gum inflammation be cured without medical intervention ? Home treatment should begin with prevention. Daily thorough hygiene, regular (at least four times a year) visits to a dentist, healthy solid foods can prevent the occurrence of inflammation. But, if it started, you can try folk recipes (but only after consulting a doctor!) Only a doctor can treat the disease, and folk recipes can only complement the treatment.

You can brew a spoonful of dry chamomile and calendula in a glass of water (like tea), and rinse your mouth with a slightly cooled infusion. It is recommended to do this as often as possible.

Strengthen gums, stop bleeding decoctions of oak bark, sage with soda and salt.

If the teeth are badly loosened, and bleeding does not stop, you can use a more effective recipe. For him, it is recommended to take a bunch of fresh leaves of sorrel, squeeze the juice into a glass bowl (without touching the leaves with metal objects). Strain the resulting juice, mix with warm water 1: 1, rinse your mouth every hour. Such a rinse can be prepared in small doses, immediately before the procedure: juice in the light quickly loses its properties.

Finally, peroxide solution diluted in water can also stop bleeding. But you can use this tool for no more than two days, and rinse no more than three times a day.
