There is evidence that the holy fathers, who still serve in the church, are considered the best guides of the Lord in the vast city of Kazan.

Salikh Sagitov was a real discoverer among the imams of this mosque. This man left a mark on the history of the temple as one of the best teachers of religion. In the same mosque, such theologians as Fakhrutdin Khazret, Salahutdin bin Ishaq, and also Tazetdin bin Bashir performed their service to the Lord God. At the end of the 19th century, the father and son of Salikhov were recognized as the most authoritative holy fathers of this mosque.

Construction History

As is known from the works of Shibagutdin Marjani, Yakub gave a huge reserve of his own strength, money and time for the construction of this mosque. Murzaโ€™s health here has also deteriorated considerably, and all in order to show students how to build a real mosque and what to invest there.

In order to set a worthy example, the founder of the mosque was not alone, but together with his wife helped to drag brick blocks and fill the foundation for construction. In addition, Yakub, especially in order to cover the mosque with a roof, attracted the capital's master. The situation was complicated by the fact that Kazan then could not boast of the presence of such masters.

origin of name

To date, this mosque is named after the merchant dynasty of the Apanayevs, which contained God's monastery almost from the day it was founded. The name of the Bayskaya and Cave mosques can also be attached to this, since the famous caves are located not far from the building. Another version says that the name of the mosque is related to the landform of the shore on which it stands.

Appearance

The baroque from Moscow of that time and Old Russian style are skillfully combined in the design of the walls of the building, which is why visitors to this place are natives of different cities and countries, as well as representatives of different ethnic groups. The one who developed the plan of the mosque and gave it a โ€œticket to lifeโ€ is still unknown. Initially, the Apanaevskaya mosque had only one hall and a minaret with 8 faces. At the beginning of 1872, according to a project developed by Romanov, a professor of architectural art, the mosque acquired a new look through the addition of an additional room. This annex does not at all argue with the first version of the design, but only emphasizes the extraordinary grandeur and solemnity of the building.

It is worth returning to history and saying that back in 1882 the mosque began to surround a high and reliable fence made of brick with a bench on one floor. Since the beginning of 1882, the mosque has been surrounded by a wide fence with a built-in bench for church utensils and candles. In 1887, this shop was built up and an additional floor was attached to it.

Hard times

On February 6, 1930, by the decision of the TATCIK organization, the mosque was liquidated, and later all adjacent buildings were destroyed by fascist organizations. Subsequently, the structure was delimited into 3 separate floors and operated as you like, but not for its intended purpose. Over the past time, this mosque was destroyed by vandals beyond recognition, and only some brick elements of the foundation could survive.

New life

In 1995, the Apanaevskaya Mosque (address: Kazan, 27 Kayuma Nasyri St.) was placed at the complete disposal of the Muhammadiya Madrasah, and in the period from 2007 to 2011, a global reconstruction was carried out throughout the fortress. The minaret was also completely restored and the demarcation of 2 floors, adopted in those years, was recreated.
Then the imam-Khatyyba dignity was occupied by a deeply respected clergyman named Valiulla Yakupov. The years of service of this elder begin in 1963 and end in 2012. This man did his best to work to ensure that the Apanayev mosque in Kazan was soon restored to its previous state and even became much better than it was previously designed.

The process of rebuilding the mosque and all adjacent premises has become much easier thanks to the solid assistance of the ruling bodies of Tatarstan in the person of Mintimer Shaimiev and Rustam Minnikhanov - people who occupy far from the last place in the power of the republic.

The official opening ceremony of the renovated mosque was held on December 2, 2011. There is evidence that the president of Tatarstan was personally present at this event.

To this day, mosques continue to hold lectures with the participation of the most famous representatives of the clergy and the founders of the temple itself. Lectures on religion are held both in Tatar and in Russian, which makes the action accessible to understanding of the inhabitants of Russia.
