Where can I get practical knowledge in the field of cooperation and trade? Can this process be combined with higher education? We have received answers to these questions and are ready to share them. In our article, we suggest learning all about the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation.
Where is it and how to get there
Address of the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation: ul. Segel, 25a.
The nearest public transport bus stop is called "Heroes' Square", and you can get to it by buses No. 22, 24, 24a, 36, 300, 306 and 359.
If you decide to go to the institute in your own car, then you can park in the university or try to find a parking space on Segel Street.
History of formation
Today the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation is a branch of BUKEP (Belgorod University of Cooperation). Two universities are inextricably linked, but this was not always the case.
In the middle of the last century, the Lipetsk region was in dire need of accountants, merchandisers, and retail workers. In this regard, the local branch of the Rospotrebsoyuz decided to establish a technical school that will train future workers in cooperation.
This educational institution existed for almost 50 years, but in 1995 there was an association with the Belgorod University of Cooperation. On the one hand, this reform deprived the Lipetsk College of Independence. On the other, it allowed the school to evolve into a higher educational institution.
Order of receipt
The Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation begins accepting documents on June 15, and ends on August 2. The applicant must submit the original certificate of passing the exam, a certificate of secondary education, a medical certificate of health status and an application for admission.
This list is enough to be enrolled in one of the faculties of the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation, but the university, as a rule, conducts additional internal tests in the form of a formal interview, which will be completed no later than August 15.
Correspondence students must submit documents by March 15, and information on admission will be announced until August 15. This university provides for the second and third “wave” of income in September and October. But you can’t count on this option, since all free places can be occupied even at the first stage of enrollment.
Specialties and areas of training
In this educational institution, diplomas of higher education are awarded in the following areas of training:
- "Organization of catering and product technology." They train production technologists who possess the necessary knowledge of the effective organization of cafes, restaurants, pubs and so on. A graduate, if desired, can build a career in the restaurant business.
- "Commodity Science". This direction of training allows the student to gain knowledge on quality control of goods, as well as learn how to analyze the market and study the factors that affect the degree of popularity of individual products.
- "Economy". Obtaining a diploma in this area allows you to engage in financial, analytical and marketing activities.
- "Management". A manager’s diploma gives a graduate a chance to develop himself in the art of managing small and medium enterprises.
Scientific activity
The scientific successes of the institute, unfortunately, so far are limited to the achievements of its teachers. Scientists of this university have published a fairly large number of monographs, manuals, scientific articles. Even one patent for a useful invention is registered.
But the institution does not hold vivid scientific conferences and round tables, which greatly limits the development of students.
Scholarships
A traditional monthly scholarship at the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation is not provided. But there are measures of social support for students who have distinguished themselves in their studies, who won a prize in the Olympiad or who made a great contribution to the life of the university.
A distinguished student can be awarded with gratitude, diploma or cash prize.
Cost of education
The institute is non-governmental, so there are no budget places. The cost of training depends on whether the student chooses correspondence or full-time.
The price of a year of study in full-time form is 67 thousand rubles, in correspondence - 47 thousand rubles. Prices for secondary vocational education are significantly lower.
How is the learning process
The class schedule at the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation is approved annually and, as a rule, is not repeated from the previous year. Lectures and seminars are always held one after another, without “windows”, and by the middle of the day the student can be free.
The university has teachers from state educational institutions. They often perceive teaching here as a part-time job. On the one hand, this makes the learning process quite simple, on the other, the quality of knowledge is significantly reduced.
Students Opinion
Reviews of the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation are reduced to the following formulations:
- Learning is very easy, teachers look at any exams and tests through the fingers, so it is almost impossible to fill up the test.
- Almost no one is expelled, since all students are commercial.
- Useful knowledge will be received only by one who really wants to leave the university not with a diploma, but with practical skills. Nobody forces anyone to study.
Opinion about working at a university
It is worth noting that not all specialists are satisfied with the work in this educational institution. Reviews of the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation often come down to mentioning exclusively negative factors in the form of a complex team, aggressive leadership, and also scanty wages. All these factors create such an unpleasant phenomenon as staff turnover. Jobs at the Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation are always. Therefore, there is no need to talk about the serious quality of educational services, not to mention some kind of scientific success of students.
Student leisure
As in any other educational institution, the main life of students begins after academic studies. The Lipetsk Institute of Cooperation annually invites its students to festivals "Freshman", "Student Spring" and initiation into students. These events do not differ from similar concerts in other educational institutions and were created to unite the personnel of the institute.
The life of local students is really very busy. In your free time you can study in a choreographic studio, folk ensemble and even in a vocal studio. Regular reporting concerts, organized by local amateur groups, bring a special charm to the life of the institute.
Additional education
For those who need to carry out advanced training, the university offers to do this according to accelerated programs in 36-72 hours. Obtaining a certificate of appropriate training in the following areas is available: "computer science", "accounting", "corporate jurisprudence". It is worth noting that this list is constantly updated with new courses.
