In antiquity, every self-respecting ruler certainly had among the court sorcerer. Christian priests fell into the same category as the only "specialists" in curbing all sorts of magical machinations.

It is important that almost every nation has such tales, therefore it can be argued that this is a universal quality, to dream that it will not be hard work, but special objects that will solve any problems. Magical magic tricks, not limited by the harsh framework of the fundamental laws of the universe, seem to be an ideal tool for achieving personal goals.
At the same time, the sorcerer’s arsenal can be conditionally divided into categories, classified and ordered, reality and performance can not be taken into account, the analysis will be hypothetical.
Artifacts
If we consider magic objects by their power and style of use, then it is worth mentioning exactly artifacts. How do they differ from all other objects endowed with magical power?
There are two diametrically opposed points of view, each of which can be considered correct.
Suppose we are talking about a mirror. If this is an artifact that accumulates the power of the universe, then it is most likely a sleeping object, working on the principle of a battery-discharger. It is not used for utilitarian purposes, they don’t dress up for a ball and do not correct makeup.
But if it is an aggressive artifact that draws vitality from living beings, it would be more logical to just regularly put a source of energy in front of it. This echoes the practice of sacrifices, which are often used specifically for recharging artifacts.
Amulets
An object of magical property, related to the artifact, is an amulet that often has “personal settings” for the owner. Modern manufacturers insist that it is manual work and fitting to the future owner that allows you to create actually working magic objects of this category.
An amulet can be anything: household utensils, part of the wardrobe, jewelry, or a “happy ticket” that accidentally fell into your hands. The main thing is that this subject should be present in surprisingly successful circumstances. It is believed that in this way the amulet accumulates good luck and at the right moments can share this magic with its owner.
Thus, the amulet can be spontaneous or specially made for certain purposes. In various practices, this item can be used either to achieve certain goals, or as a defense against magic attacks. At the same time, amulets, like artifacts, are intended for some narrow purposes, only magic tools of a wide profile can be considered universal - a wand or a ring.
