Birthday in Zemfira Ramazanova on August 26, 1976. At this moment, the future star and the genius of modern Russian rock was born in Ufa. The nationality of Zemfira Ramazanova, whose songs everyone knows, is Russian, but with Tatar roots.
From early childhood, the singer’s life is closely connected with music and sports. In parallel with his classes at the music school, Zemfira is making great strides in the youth basketball team. Thanks to her skill, purposefulness, dexterity and an extraordinary mind, prospects for big sports open up for her. But the love of music prevails, and Zemfira submits documents to the Ufa College of Arts at the faculty of pop vocal.
Career start
She composes and writes her first compositions in the radio studio "Europe plus Ufa", where she has been working as a sound engineer since 1996. In less than a year, about 30–40 songs were born. Some of them later became part of the singer’s first album.
The path to recognition was thorny. Zemfira tried her hand in the role of a free musician, and sang in restaurants. Together with like-minded people, she created her own musical group, with which she rehearsed in a small local club.
Album "Zemfira"
In the fall of 1998, work began on the album. The recording takes place in the Mosfilm studio with the participation of sound engineer V. Ovchinnikov and members of the Mumiy Troll music collective. The final release was scheduled for May 10. But since mid-February, the songs "AIDS", "Missiles" and "Arivederchi" have appeared on the air of radio stations.
Together with the first composition to Zemfira comes a resounding success. Within six months, the musical project "Zemfira" is developing rapidly. Press conferences are arranged, clips are shot, the presentation of the album - all this actively draws the attention of the public to the young soloist. Her non-trivial view of modern rock, the unique style and confidence excited the critics, won fans among various age and social strata.
Concert tour
Zemfira began her first concert tour on September 1 of the same year in Moscow. And finished on January 4, 2000 in Riga. During this time, the group played concerts throughout Russia and some cities of the near abroad. And even became a headliner in the first festival "Invasion".
In 2000, Zemfira and her group won six different nominations: Performer of the Year, Scandalist of the Year, Breakthrough of the Year, and Album of the Year (OM Magazine), Best Group and Best Album (Fuzz Magazine) )
"Forgive me, my love"
Literally after the first album, in December 1999, work begins on the next.
At the same time, as part of the anti-piracy action, a remix of the song “Snow” is recorded. The single was distributed to visitors to the largest music stores in Moscow as a gift.
The second album included the song "Do not let go", which was previously excluded from the debut album. And the song “I was looking for” sounded as part of the soundtrack for S. Bodrov’s film “Brother 2”.
The premiere of the album “Forgive Me My Love” took place on March 28, 2000. It became the peak of fame in the career of the artist in every sense: the most commercially successful; songs included in the composition remained hits for many years; fans created incredible excitement. Zemfira became a cult person, the founder of domestic female rock, the owner of an impressive number of prizes and awards. But this did not bring satisfaction; rather, on the contrary, it annoyed. In this regard, several scheduled concerts are canceled and there is a pause in the public life of the performer.
However, already in the fall Zemfira returns. She participates in a project in memory of Viktor Tsoi, in the framework of which the single "Cuckoo" is recorded.
A rapidly developing career, exhausting tours, troubles associated with wild popularity, lead to the fact that the already laconic, harsh and independent star disappears from the scene for almost a year. Upon their return, critics and fans noted significant changes in the work of the group. Everything has changed - from the composition to the repertoire, including the approach and attitude to work.
“Fourteen weeks of silence”
Two years later, in 2002, the long-awaited third album was released, which was received by controversial reviews from critics. Some called Zemfira a genius, a precious nugget in the world of modern music. Others believed that she wasted her creative potential in trying to create serious music. Nevertheless, there were not indifferent and opinions unanimously agreed on one thing: Zemfira Ramazanova was undoubtedly talented!
The third album was no less popular and brought the group impressive awards. On April 4, a tour begins in support of the new record. The artist gives a number of concerts, including in her native Ufa. Performs at the next festival "Invasion".

At the MTV RMA ceremony in October 2004, Zemfira and the Queen band perform the famous We are the champions in a duet. Very fruitful is the collaboration with other stars of show business. The performance of the song “Dipper” together with I. Lagutenko becomes the most striking performance in the history of the Maxidrom rock festival.
In the same year, cooperation began between Ramazanova and R. Litvinova, which marked the beginning of a long friendship between the two women. I. Vdovin is involved in work on the soundtrack for the film “Goddess: How I Loved”. The result of common efforts is the song "Love, as an accidental death."

Critics enthusiastically welcomed the new format of Zemfira's work. The work turned out to be unlike the previous ones, however, recognizable and in the spirit of a rock icon. Publications wrote about the perfection of compositions, the relevance of the texts, the unsurpassed skill of the performer. It was a success comparable to the sensation that made the debut album. And again the nomination "Album of the Year" was taken.

This period can definitely be recognized as a new round in the work and life of the singer.

In February, the CD "Zemfira.DVD" was released, which absorbed almost all the clips for the entire creation. Entered into the collection and clip R. Litvinova with the symbolic name "Results". And “AIDS” and “Traffic” were excluded for various reasons.

A month later, a new studio work comes out. Recorded during the year, the Thank You album allows you to take a fresh look at the terse artist after the troubled Vendetta. The work is very different from each other. The general mood of the compositions is more positive, joyful. Perhaps the author and composer has come to harmony with herself.
The album was released simultaneously with the first issue of Citizen K magazine, for which Zemfira gave a large detailed interview, provided children’s pictures and a lot of other interesting information, which is completely atypical for this closed, distant from the glamorous life of a rock singer.
In October, a tour begins in support of the new record. Special autograph sessions were organized, and the maxi singles “10 Boys” went on sale. Remixes for the radio single “Boy”, the presentation of which took place in conjunction with the video clip for the song “We Break” before the release of the fifth album. Later presented the film R. "Living in your head"
Zemfira worked on the last studio album for a very long time and carefully. Some new songs appeared on the air of radio stations. However, the official release was delayed indefinitely. The artist herself explained this with a large amount of work: the album was supposed to be very authorial. At the same time, the singer talked about the fact that, most likely, the future disc will be the final in a series of full-length, large works. And she considers further work in EP format.
In the autumn, a tour begins, in which Zemfira plays along with an acoustic guitar and synthesizer, which once again emphasizes her new approach to work and creativity. The concerts feature songs from previous albums, as well as the songs “Without Chances” and “Money”.
After a long break in public relations, Zemfira again goes on tour. And a month later, in February 2013, the sixth album “Live in Your Head” appeared on sale in electronic form. Earnings from the sale of the first month eloquently speak about the expectation of the album by fans. The popularity of Zemfira's work broke all the records of domestic performers.
In February 2016, Zemfira sets off on a long and final tour with the Little Man concert program. And at the end of that year, the singer presents the album “Little Man. Live. "
