In our country, this delicious, fragrant, invigorating drink is loved no less than tea. It is believed that in Russia coffee appeared in the "Petrine times". Peter I brought him to our country from Holland. Then he began to instill a culture of coffee drinking in St. Petersburg nobility. However, from ancient chronicles it is known that coffee appeared much earlier and was used by the princes for medical purposes. Until the beginning of the 20th century, coffee was considered exclusively a drink of aristocrats because of its high price. Later it became more affordable, now it is an invariable attribute of breakfast. Currently, coffee grains are imported into our country in large quantities from Brazil, India, Argentina and other countries. By the way, biologists planted an experimental plantation with this crop in Sochi.
We have prepared for you the three most original dessert recipes, where coffee is the main component! We must say right away that to get a high-quality dessert, you should adhere to the given recipes. Otherwise, the products may be too thin or too thick.
Coffee Jelly: Three Layer
All the ingredients of this light dessert will certainly be found in the kitchen of every hostess. It consists of three different layers, has an original appearance and exquisite taste. We will prepare it as follows.
Upper layer:
- Β½ tsp Sahara;
- 1/8 tsp agar (powder);
- a small pinch of tea;
- 50 ml of water;
- 1 tsp fat cream.
We make tea, after it is well infused, we filter. Combine sugar with agar, add to tea, stir well. We put on the smallest fire and heat until the components dissolve. Remove from heat, add coconut milk to the mixture and mix very quickly, because the agar instantly sets. We take a beautiful glass having the shape of a cone, pour the mixture obtained into it.
Middle layer:
- 1 tsp cocoa (powder);
- 100 ml of water;
- 25 g of sugar (you can slightly more);
- Β½ tsp agar;
- 2 tsp fresh coconut milk (1 tsp. cream).
Mix agar powder and sugar. In a small container, bring the water to a boil, add the mixture and cocoa powder to it. Mix well until the components are completely dissolved. We remove from the heat and add the dairy component to the resulting mass. Pour gently into the glass on top of the first layer.
Bottom layer:
- Β½ tsp agar;
- 2-3 tsp coffee (ground) + 120 ml of water;
- 20 g of sugar;
- 2 tbsp. l coconut milk.
For coffee jelly, mix sugar with agar, boil water separately, remove from heat, add coffee to it, mix the drink well and leave it for a while to develop the aroma. After that, put the drink in a small container on low heat, add a mixture of sugar with agar and heat until they are completely dissolved. If the mass, in your opinion, is too thick, you need to add a little water to it. Then we remove the mass from the stove, add cream to it and pour the last layer into the glass. We put in the refrigerator.
The jelly prepared according to this recipe is very stable. If you prefer softer jelly, you can reduce the amount of agar by half or use gelatin to make a dessert.
Coffee Jelly Recipe
Today we will tell you how to make a refreshing Japanese dessert. The best option for serving it is in beautiful glass glasses. In addition, the prepared jelly can be poured into a plastic container or baking dish, and then cut. Any shape will do: for example, cubes or blocks. With this cut, it can be served together with a milkshake or ice cream, which will make your favorite dessert even tastier and more beautiful. By the way, it can be decorated with whipped cream. Take the following components:
- 110 g of sugar;
- 600 ml of water;
- 15 g of gelatin;
- 2 tbsp. l coffee (instant).
Cooking Tips
In a small saucepan, combine the gelatin with water and heat over moderate heat, not forgetting to stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. After that, add sugar, coffee and mix until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes. Next, pour coffee jelly into beautiful molds or another container. Using a spoon in the surface of the dessert, remove excess bubbles. After the dessert has completely cooled down, cover it with cling film from above and put it in the refrigerator for four hours. When serving, if desired, make out with whipped cream, mint leaves and a small coffee bean.
Ducane Jelly
In the modern world there is a huge variety of diets, but the diet of Pierre Ducane, known to many French doctors, is one of the most common. Today we offer a recipe for milk coffee jelly, which is within the limits of this diet. To work, we need:
- a glass of milk;
- 2 tbsp. l coffee (solution.);
- 20 g of gelatin;
- 3 tbsp. l sweetener;
- glass of water;
- vanillin - on the tip of a teaspoon.
Step by step recipe
For cooking:
- Take chilled boiled water, soak gelatin in it. Then dissolve it in a water bath until a homogeneous consistency, without lumps.
- Let the milk boil (do not boil for too long), add all the vanilla and Β½ part of the sweetener to it. After it cools, add half the norm of gelatin.
- To make coffee jelly, you must first brew the coffee, add the rest of the gelatin and sweetener to it. Let the resulting mass cool. For the preparation of dessert, it is best to use natural and freshly ground coffee. But if you donβt have one in stock, a packaged one will do.
- We take a beautiful tall goblet or glass and pour the colored jelly one by one, while it is necessary to allow the previous layer to solidify a little. Their thickness and quantity are adjustable as desired.
