The VAZ-2110 uses a dual-circuit brake system. In addition to cuffs and pads, it includes working and brake master cylinders. The latter provides hydraulic pressure when the driver presses the appropriate pedal. The force is increased due to the “vacuum”. But the liquid itself is pushed by pistons in the cylinder. The element is reliable enough, but you should not completely exclude the risk of its breakdown. Getting to work

What do we do next? The next step is to drain the remaining liquid from the tank into a free tank. Then it can be safely removed outside.

Now we mount a tank with bushings on a new cylinder. If he did not go in the kit, you can take the old one. But it should be without cracks and other deformations. Then we get the rubber sealing bushings from the old GTZ. There are two of them. If they are worn out and have cracks, we take new ones from the repair kit of the main brake cylinder. Presses should be made to the floor and very slowly. Repeat the procedure until liquid flows out of the holes. Then you can safely connect the tubes that go to the front wheels. After that, we ask the assistant to press the pedal again. We make sure that the air comes out of the holes for the rear wheels in full.
After that, remove the fingers and screw the remaining tubes. This replacement of the GTZ “tens” is almost complete. It remains only to add fluid to the tank to the desired level, connect the sensor and replace the noise insulation cover.
Replacing the cuffs of the main brake cylinder on the VAZ-2110
This operation is performed on an element removed from the vehicle. It is advisable to use a mechanical vice. So we tightly clamp the item in place. So, let's get to work.
First, remove the o-ring from the cylinder. Next, unscrew the GTZ plug with a large “38” head. We take it out with the second sealing ring. Using a pair of pliers, remove the stopper. We take out the piston that controls the rear circuit, holding on to its shank. It should be removed together with the guide sleeve and the outer collar. To dismantle the latter, you need to unscrew the screw of the spring holder. Next, we get the front contour piston. To do this, push the thread side element with your finger. We remove the cuffs with a thin screwdriver. We wash all elements in gasoline or alcohol. We put in place new cuffs and make the final assembly.

If after the operations are done the pedal becomes soft, most likely, air has formed in the system.
It needs to be pumped. To do this, we alternately drive the air out of the wheels according to the "criss-cross" pattern, starting from the rear right.
Periodically, add fluid to the tank. The essence of pumping is to push the airy fluid along the highways out. For the operation, you will also need an assistant who, at your command, will press the brake pedal. Repeat this until a clean, bubble-free liquid flows out of the hole.
