Many people occasionally face the need to have their teeth inserted. Such a need can arise at any age. After tooth loss due to trauma or after its removal, a person has a number of reasonable questions: "how to restore the lost, " "which teeth to insert, what materials
in this case, "" "is there any harm from them," "what is the price of the issue," etc., will be applied. Let us try to figure this out.
Do I need to insert teeth?
Many dwell on this issue. Indeed, why embed? There are a dozen or two more, or even three. And so, it seems, not bad. Many with less live and have no problems. However, unfortunately, there are problems. The absence of a tooth leads to the fact that in the area near the damaged place there is an increased load when chewing. The teeth in this area are deformed and destroyed. The loss of one tooth is disastrous for all its neighbors. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to delay treatment.
Implantation
In cases where the patient does not have an allergic intolerance to the materials used, a doctor may recommend tooth implantation. The artificial basis of the dental implant is implanted in the jaw bone. Crowns are usually made of ceramic. The actions of a physician take an average of about 40 minutes. The mentioned operation does not require grinding of adjacent teeth.
At the same time,
ceramic teeth are quite durable and almost indistinguishable from natural ones. However, there are also disadvantages. In about 10% of cases, implants do not take root. In addition, there are some contraindications:
- blood diseases;
- diabetes;
- central nervous system diseases;
- mucosal diseases;
- connective tissue diseases.
Bridge crown
This method of inserting teeth is suitable for people who for some reason are afraid of implantation. Some have allergic reactions. In addition, there is always a risk that the tooth does not take root. With bridge prosthetics, this option is completely excluded, since there is no need to implant a foreign body into the jawbone in order to insert a tooth. The price of this procedure can please fans of money saving. Its implementation will cost much less than implantation. However, there is a significant minus. When establishing a bridge-like crown, you will have to grind adjacent teeth. Therefore, this option is not to everyone's liking.
Removable dentures
Another alternative way to insert teeth is removable dentures. Many patients in dental clinics note the convenience of this method of prosthetics. State-of-the-art materials provide excellent performance for the tooth substitutes mentioned. Of course, there are some disadvantages. For example, serious wear of supporting teeth, atrophy of bone tissue and the impossibility of subsequent implantation. Here are examples of types of removable dentures:
- Clasp dentures. They consist of a metal arc with crowns mounted on it. Due to the rigidity of the frame, patients sometimes receive complaints about rubbing with the prosthesis of the gums.
- Nylon dentures. This species has a soft base and does not require processing of adjacent teeth.
