Uterine adenomyosis: treatment, diagnosis, causes, consequences

Today, uterine adenomyosis , the treatment of which can be conservative and surgical, is a common but little studied disease. For example, it is not known exactly why it occurs.

Scientists suggest that the cause of adenomyosis can be:

  • genetic predisposition;
  • stress, constant emotional stress;
  • heavy physical exertion;
  • ultraviolet radiation;
  • mud baths;
  • surgical manipulations in the uterus.

Adenomyosis manifests itself, the treatment of which should be carried out by an experienced gynecologist-endocrinologist, in that endomergy cells grow in the muscle layer (myometrium) of the uterus, and not just in its cavity. During the cycle, they increase, preparing for implantation of the embryo.

If pregnancy does not occur, then the excess endometrium is rejected and comes out with menstruation. In myometrium, however, there is no way out, so hemorrhage occurs, which provokes inflammation.

The endometrium can grow in other organs. They are found in the ovaries, on the cervix, in the fallopian tubes. These pathological conditions are called endometriosis.

Uterine adenomyosis is diagnosed, the treatment of which is a long and painstaking process, with the help of a examination by a gynecologist and colposcopy. This study is under the microscope of the cervix when it is stained with various solutions.

The doctor takes a swab and gives a referral for an ultrasound scan. As a rule, these research methods can confirm or refute the diagnosis. Sometimes laparoscopy and hysteroscopy may be additionally prescribed to confirm it and determine the degree of damage.

The signs of the disease adenomyosis, treatment with folk remedies of which is possible only after its approval by the attending physician, are as follows:

  • pain before, during and after menstruation, they become profuse;
  • spotting before and after them;
  • violations of the cycle, often shortening it;
  • soreness during sex;
  • ICP;
  • upon examination by a gynecologist, the uterus is enlarged and round.

Most often, adenomyosis occurs after 35. However, more and more often this diagnosis is made to young women. During menopause, a regression of this disease is observed. The treatment of this disease is also based on this phenomenon.

Hormonal and immunological drugs are used. At the same time, uterine adenomyosis, the treatment of which should be started only after examination by an endocrinologist, immunologist, allergist and a number of other specialists, cannot be completely defeated. Success is considered if all its signs have disappeared.

In especially severe cases, when conservative treatment is not effective, surgery is used. With it, the anatomy of organs, disturbed by inflammation, is restored. This removes the maximum number of foci. Such treatment begins with the third stage.

After the operation, the woman is in the hospital for several days under the supervision of a doctor. After discharge, he visits a doctor every week to rule out complications. Then she needs to visit the gynecologist 2 times a year.

Today, in addition to traditional, new methods are used. One of them is electrocoagulation. With its help, lesions are removed painlessly using anesthesia.

In many women, adenomyosis is not accompanied by symptoms. In this case, he is rarely diagnosed and does not require treatment, but only observation. At this stage, the disease does not prevent pregnancy.

So, uterine adenomyosis, the treatment of which depends on the stage of the disease, can cause a woman unpleasant sensations and even lead to infertility. Apply surgical, conservative, as well as new methods to improve the condition of patients. The cure is the complete elimination of the symptoms of the disease. Adenomyosis is still not well understood by scientists, as well as the causes of its occurrence.
