Today there is a huge selection of all kinds of doors. Moreover, more and more consumers give preference to folding models, which is easily explained - there is always a chance to get a forehead on a jamb of an ordinary door, and it’s unlikely that it will run into the edge of an accordion door. Just because the folding door doesn't swing open.
They divide the doors according to the method of opening into folding, rotating, swinging and sliding. So, rotating because of their design features are used in rooms with a high flow of visitors, while they are not familiar to us. The folding door does not crowd out the venerable oar “representatives of the clan” from everyday life. The story goes that such models have been known since the ancient period. Speaking about Korea or Japan, it is worth noting that a huge number of folding doors in the interior of the living rooms of these countries demonstrate the excellent functionality of the "accordions". Of course, it’s at least unreasonable to use them for entry, while such models are very convenient in the interior design. It is also worth noting that the folding door can provide good soundproofing of rooms, it can have built-in locks that protect the room from unwanted visitors.
At their core, these doors are a mixture of folding models and conventional blinds that many of us use instead of curtains. From the latter, they took a horizontal rail, providing movement of the roller, and in addition, plates (lamellas), but more powerful. The core that ties the lamellas, transforming them into a canvas, is the same as in the "books". A folding door of the “accordion” type is assembled and fastened according to the principle of our usual blinds. Especially for their production, different materials are used: PVC, wood, MDF panels.
Unlike swing models, folding and sliding can close any openings. They move apart along the lower and upper guides. The latter at the same time provides an almost silent movement of the canvases. A sliding folding door, the price of which depends on its various components, works according to this principle: the doors are folded initially, then they slide into the wall. Such models take up quite a bit of space, completely eliminate the problem of choosing the side of their opening - this optimizes the arrangement of equipment and furniture in a small area.
At the moment, manufacturers offer stained glass folding doors, photos of which can be viewed above. To ensure rigidity, instead of thin wooden plates, a lightweight frame is used, created from an aluminum or steel profile, where colored corrugated glass is inserted. Simple versions of sliding glazed walls have also been developed - using wooden battens instead of a metal frame. It is also possible to replace glass with a color transparent film, in addition, even washable or film wallpapers on a wooden frame.
In order to create comfortable working conditions in office premises, it is these doors that are suitable, as well as partitions where artificial leather is used instead of moving plywood plates. Due to it, the partition can also have a curved shape. The fastenings of such sliding partitions resemble those used for hard plywood plates.
