The circus has always been and will be a holiday not only for children, but also for adults. This magnificent sight is able to remove all the negative: fatigue, anxiety, fears and so on. And all because the circus is all fun and bold, here a person communicates with wildlife, magic is created. People always go to the circus. This suggests that life goes on!
Voronezh Circus Truzzi
In Voronezh, the circus as a form of art began to develop relatively recently, in the nineteenth century. Until 1882, performances were held by the Voronezh circus tent, and then a huge wooden building was built on Starokonnaya Square (present Lenin Square). Then it was the largest building, which only cost the stable, which housed hundreds of horses.
The owner of this largest provincial circus was the Italian M. Truzzi. Then the famous artist A. L. Durov began his career as a clown. It was here that he trained animals, the first of which were a ram, a rooster and a piglet.
Circus partnership "Cooperative"
In 1905, a new building was built for the circus, it accommodated one and a half thousand places and was located on Theater Square.
In 1918, K. Faccioli, K. Gebel, A. A. Durov, G. Zerendorf, E. R. Durov and others performed here. They showed a performance called "Broken fetters, or the triumph of the revolution." These people organized a circus partnership and called it "Co-op." Thus, the private Voronezh circus Truzzi was replaced by a circus partnership "Cooperative".
In 1924, a new brick building appeared on the site of the old wooden circus building, with the inscription "State Circus", which totaled about three thousand places.
Years of war
During the war, the Voronezh circus burned down. When the Germans were expelled from the city, construction began on the wooden facade of the circus. So, in the territory of the Pervomaisky Garden a big top with a tarpaulin dome appeared. It was built by the circus workers themselves, who then lived not far in the dugouts. The chapito stood here until 1972.
Voronezh State Circus
The construction of the circus in the territory of the Newly constructed cemetery took ten long years. It was carried out on the same project as in nine other cities (Russia, Ukraine), authored by V. Kasyan. The building was large, numbered two thousand four hundred places.
In the nineties, the Voronezh circus had to be repaired, the windows and equipment changed.
In 2008, on the second floor of the circus, a monument was opened to A. L. Durov according to the project of the national communities of Voronezh. The author of the sculpture was V. Arsenadze.
Circus show
Voronezh Circus is a convenient and beautiful building, where a large number of talented artists work. Here you can meet power acrobats, a balancer, gymnasts, tourists and many others. The troupe of the circus is replenished with new faces from among the graduates of the children's and youth school of the Olympic reserve.
The circus arena annually hosts more than two hundred performances. Once a year, circus troupes from all over Russia come here on an ongoing basis.
Unforgettable interesting show programs with the participation of a large number of animals are created here. For example, the Five Continents program involved more than three hundred animals and birds. I would like to pay tribute to the trainer Gie Eradze, who himself sewed costumes for the performance.
Everyone loves the circus in Voronezh, each performance gathers a full audience. Here you can see horse riding, pantomimes, gymnastic and acrobatic performances, clowning, juggling, illusionism, a musical eccentric and much more. All numbers will leave a mark in your memory for a long time. Particularly memorable are the performances for children; no other spectacle will give so much enthusiasm and positive emotions.
