The Olympic Games held this year left a lot of pleasant memories not only among the residents of our country, but also among guests from other countries. And it’s especially nice that we still have the memory of past competitions in the form of talismans. Before we saw the new heroes, the artist-developers had to repeatedly invent and sketch characters who would not only represent sports, but would be remembered and liked by both the guests of the Olympics and its owners. After the simply amazing victory of our athletes at the last Winter Games, many children (and adults too) became interested in the nuances of creating talismans. For this reason, we decided in this article to pay special attention to the question of how to draw an Olympic Bear (white).

So Leopard. This mountain dweller was not chosen by chance. Since 2008, a special program has been working in the territory of our country aimed at restoring the population of these animals, as individuals have practically disappeared from their habitats. Another mascot representing the animal world is the Polar Bear. He is considered a fellow of the Bear of the 1980 competitions in Moscow. Here, the developers decided to take advantage of "related" relationships. The Polar Bear of the Sochi Olympics in 2014 is very similar to its brother. When the main mascot of the competition was created, a legend was invented, according to which, Teddy Bear grew up at the polar station and had close contact with people. It was they who taught him to play curling, using small ice floes for this, and get up on skis. In addition, the diversified Teddy Bear is also fond of sledding.
And, of course, the last talisman is Bunny. The character was chosen because of his active lifestyle and friendly attitude towards everyone.
How to draw an Olympic Bear
You learned some interesting facts about the creation of the 2014 Olympics mascots. However, it is time to return to the study of the main issue to which the article is devoted. So how to draw an Olympic Bear with a pencil? To image this character, you need an album sheet (you can take larger paper). Still need a simple pencil.
Sketch creation
Look at the picture above. This is how the Olympic Bear looks. We will begin the drawing by creating the contours of our hero. To do this, draw a circle at the bottom of the album sheet. Place a smaller circle above it. Just pay attention to it being a little to the left and going a little beyond the bottom. Now, using the horizontal line, divide the last circle into two parts. Then you need to give the head of our talisman the correct shape. To do this, we depict a figure inside the upper circle, in shape resembling a pear. In addition, in the lower circle we draw the lines of the body of our Bear. To make it easier for you to cope with the task, you should just look more often at the original talisman.
Drawing elements
Now proceed to the image of small details. Let's start with a scarf. Please note that it has a revolution around the neck of the Bear, and one of its ends hangs freely. For clarity, compare what you have with the original image. It's time to draw a cute face of our character. The auxiliary line that we depicted at the beginning of the work will help here. Just above it (in the center) draw a nose, just under it make a lovely smile. It remains only to add a glint of cunning and fun look.
Final stage of work
We have come to the final stage of studying the question of how to draw an Olympic Bear. With the help of the eraser, we remove all unnecessary lines and draw more clearly the outline of our character. Draw Bear's hind legs. Note that they are slightly bent, so draw them in an arcuate line. Try to compare your drawing with the original more often, so that in the future you do not have to correct it.
