In any country there is a certain political system. The state is governed by an elected government. That is, each representative is elected by the people. But before this, election campaigning is carried out. Each candidate for deputy or president tries to “entice” to his side (to support the election) the largest number of citizens of the country.
Campaigning is an advertisement of political power in the pre-election period. At the same time, the party or organization discloses its programs (plans for further actions in the current position), gives certain promises to voters. They may not be fulfilled. The most important thing is to attract the electorate.
Types of Campaigning
Campaigning can be quite diverse. Distribution of leaflets with the candidate’s program, television debates, direct communication with the people (electorate), appearances on television and radio, regular advertising and so on. This list goes on for quite some time. The above examples are the main types of campaigning.
In a few months, the so-called "election race" begins. It was during this period that intense agitation by political forces or individuals of the state’s population began.
If elections are planned for deputies (parliaments), then the election campaign begins with the announcement of candidates who are members of one or another political force. The second stage is the announcement of the election program. Only then do all other campaign systems come into effect.
One of the most common campaign systems is various types of political advertising and television debates. Both the first and second types are successfully used by various political forces. It can be organizations, individuals, parties or associations.
Political advertising as a form of agitation
In order to attract voters to their side, political forces use various tricks. They provide the attention of the electorate with all their achievements in various fields of social or state activity. At the same time, they try to discredit their competitors. This happens as follows. Voters see the logo of an organization, party or candidate in front of them. At the same time, this force talks about all its achievements in the past, and says what it can do in the future. As for their opponents, then all the mistakes that were made are recalled here.
Campaigning is conducted in various planes. That is, the actions of candidates are not limited to moral standards. Opponents “sprinkle mud on each other,” while they try not to get so dirty themselves. Quite often you can hear quite loud promises from each side. At the same time, political forces do not pay too much attention to whether the voter will believe them or not. Some “unclean” politicians try to enlist some support from some voters through ordinary bribery. This election campaign is not too honest. But no one can do anything about it. In case of any questions from the opponents, the simple answer follows: "This is not a bribe, but just a gift."
Thus, the election campaign is conducted by various methods. There are several options for this type of attracting supporters to your side. Many ways are not too honest. But this does not stop a single political force in the world.
The candidates have the only goal - to obtain support from the majority of the electorate and to discredit their direct competitors for this position in the eyes of ordinary citizens. In this case, the world-famous slogan comes into effect - "the ends justify the means" and "no one judges the winners."
