The Toyota Aigo, which is often called the twin Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107, began production in the spring of 2005. All three of the mentioned models are assembled in one joint factory, which is located in the Czech town of Kolin. In fact, they all differ from each other only in individual elements of the decor. At the same time, the Japanese copy stands out with its textured trunk lid. It is an original door made of glass. At the same time, the usual metal frame is missing here.
Be that as it may, Toyota Aigo, in comparison with the French counterparts, does not look so "toy". The fact is that it has larger dimensions. As for the interiors of cars, they are identical, so when you get into one of the cars, you can only find out which one you are in by looking at the logo located on the steering wheel.
Under the hood of the Toyota Aigo, as well as its two French counterparts, there is a distributed injection engine, which consists of three cylinders and twelve valves. The power plant has a volume of one liter and is capable of developing power up to 68 horsepower. As for the gearbox, the car uses five-speed mechanics. The model is very profitable in terms of low fuel consumption. More specifically, for every hundred kilometers of the run in the combined cycle (provided that the driver has no racing manners) he needs only five liters of gasoline. Acceleration from standstill to "hundreds" takes 14.2 s.

The car behaves very unpretentiously, clearly fitting into a given trajectory. The dynamics of the car can hardly be called impressive. On the other hand, the Toyota Aigo was created to drive along the city streets, so it’s not worthwhile to demand something supernatural from it. The car, although not frisky, but also does not lag behind the leaders at traffic lights. The motor is quite noisy. This is explained not only by its design, but also by the manufacturer’s savings on sound insulation materials. It would be wrong to wait for something else from a car such a ticket office. An elementary solution to this problem is to turn on the audio system.
All this fades into the background, given the fact that the car behaves beautifully not only on city streets, but also on the highway, even when traveling over considerable distances. Both the driver and passengers will not have to complain of discomfort in this case. As for the luggage compartment, its volume is 139 liters. Front MacPherson strut suspension is used in the car , which is characterized by the presence of a stabilizer bar. At the rear, it is semi-independent with trailing arms. It should be noted the level of safety of the machine, which according to the results of crash tests conducted by EuroNCAP, amounted to four stars (a possible maximum is 5 *).

So far, the Japanese manufacturer has not officially delivered Toyota Aigo cars to our country. 2013, unfortunately, was no exception. According to company representatives, an updated version of the car will roll off the assembly line next year. No technical characteristics of new items are not reported. As for the cost of the Toyota Aigo car, the price of such used cars in the domestic secondary market is on average 300 thousand rubles.
