When my grandfather, a disabled veteran, rode me on the "hunchback Zaporozhets", which was presented to him by the country for his health lost in the war, I couldnโ€™t imagine that I was driving a car constructively created on the same principles as the Porshe 911: rear rear-wheel drive engine layout. The legendary Porshe 911 has a shorter history than the Beetle, but in 2014 it will mark 50 years from the start of its production. They did not plan to use the 911 digital index in the name - it was just a three-digit intra-factory number of the next racing model. But the success of sales has cemented the digital name for the 7th generation of this extraordinary and world-famous model.
