Among these educational organizations is the Torzhok Pedagogical College named after Badulin (TPK). The initial stage of history
The Torzhok Pedagogical College named after Fedor Vasilyevich Badulin began its activity in 1871 in the form of a teacher's school. At first it was a Zemstvo educational institution, but after 2 years it was under the control of the state (Ministry of Public Education). This happened due to the identification of revolutionary sentiments, ideas at school. The status was also changed. The school has become a teacher's seminary.
At that time, this school was pretty good. Badyulin (the provincial commissar for public education), the base of the educational institution was preserved. On its basis, after some time, pedagogical courses were created aimed at accelerating the training of teachers. Already in 1920, the courses turned into a technical school. In the prewar years, the educational institution became a school.
After several decades, this educational organization has reached new heights in its activities - it has received college status. Today TPK is:

- a library that is large enough for a secondary specialized educational institution, within the walls of which are stored the books necessary for the educational process (more than 132 thousand units), periodicals (over 60 titles);
