A new dish on the festive table is always intriguing. But the reaction of the guests may be different. Do not spoil your mood. Cook the expected dishes, but with a twist. Recall how to make Ocean salad. Little secret: the main ingredient is canned fish.

Options can be different: mackerel in oil, horse mackerel, sardine. Try to use sprats - this is a worthy replacement as a composition in a salad and decoration on the finished product. A delicate dish requires boiled and finely ground ingredients.

Ocean salad with sprats

Slightly smoked small fish will give an intriguing aftertaste to the traditional dish.

Prepare the products :

  • sprats - 1 can of 125 g;
  • boiled carrots - 1 pc.;
  • hard-boiled eggs - 3 pcs.;
  • boiled rice - 100 g;
  • hard cheese - 80 g;
  • any mayonnaise to taste.

Those who canโ€™t imagine a dish without it can add onions to the salad. Do not add salt: canned food, cheese and mayonnaise contain it.

Cooking technology

  • Drain excess oil from canned food, 3 whole sprats will be required for decoration. Grind the fish and place on a dish. One layer is ready.
