Currently, installing a satellite dish costs from $ 10 to $ 30, which seems to some too high a price. In part, these people are right: you cannot demand such a high payment for twisting the plate and adjusting the heads. Moreover, the cost of the system itself decreases every year and, quite likely, will soon be equal to the price of configuration services.
Self-installation of a satellite dish can eliminate this injustice. Moreover, the work is quite simple, and even a schoolboy can cope with it in a few minutes. Despite the fact that providers claim that, for example, installing a Tricolor satellite antenna (and others like that) with their own hands is not recommended, as it requires certain knowledge, in fact, it is possible for anyone who can drill a couple of holes in the wall of a house , fix the bracket and set up stable reception of channels. And it’s never too late to use the services of paid adjusters, because the equipment is not damaged during installation.
Placement point
Installation of a satellite dish begins with the choice of its location. This is one of the key points that you must approach with all responsibility. As you know, in the sky above us there are quite a few broadcast satellites. The plate should be installed in such a way as to “look” at the desired one. The coordinates of each of them can be found on the websites dedicated to satellite television. A simpler solution is to see how the system is oriented for people living in your area and perform the installation taking into account this feature (for the same satellites).
Mounting
Plate mounting involves placing it on the pipe. Therefore, residents of private homes can raise the mast on spacers or, for example, weld the pipe to the grape arch. But in high-rise buildings, a special bracket is often used, which is a metal structure fixed to the wall with
anchor bolts. By the way, the installation of a satellite dish on a concrete basis can be carried out using metal anchors, but for plastic masonry plastic dowels are more preferable. Having welding, the frame can be made independently: a support in the form of the letter "T", a corner about 40 cm long and a pipe. On the other hand, the market offers finished products: they are neat, but less durable. A plate is subsequently attached to it and is approximately oriented in the desired direction. Trees and buildings located on the receiving line can reduce or shield the signal.
Assembly and commissioning
Before installation, the entire system is assembled according to the instructions: a support tube for the converters is screwed to the plate, the cable from them is neatly attached with cable ties or electrical tape. It is important that the points of attachment of the F-wrap are directed downwards and moisture does not get into them. Sometimes they are coated with sealant and additionally protected with electrical tape.
Further connection of the satellite dish involves placing the assembled dish on the bracket. First, you need to orient it around the world, and then tighten the bolts. In this case, it should be possible to rotate it, at least with effort. It remains to connect the cable with the connector on to the converter, and from the other end to the tuner. Then you need to turn on the TV and use the tuner menu to display the level of the received signal. After that, you should select DiSEqC in the settings, then the satellite or channel (it is assumed that the receiver is pre-flashed) and, observing the level, slowly turn the plate, achieving the best signal. All that remains is to tighten the nuts.
