An innovative and truly unique way to decorate your home is to install a bubble panel in it. This is a fundamentally new element of decor, which is not yet found everywhere. With it, you can decorate absolutely any room, be it an apartment or a night club, office or theater. Bubble panels in the interior look incredibly organic and most often are the main emphasis.
What it is
A bubble panel is a flat container made of acrylic glass or triplex. She, like an aquarium, is always filled with water. When turned on, bubbles form inside it, creating the illusion of a mini-waterfall. This entire system is also equipped with a backlight, which can be static, and can have different modes, like a Christmas garland. The air bubble panel also works due to the compressor, which supplies air into its cavity, and due to the aeration system. The latter provides water with the very bubbles in which the whole essence lies. It should be noted that three-dimensional constructions are also produced according to this system. It can be bubble columns, pipes, other sections and certain sections of the walls.
How it works
The basis of such a panel is sheet acrylic or triplex. In the factory, by manual gluing, hollow, sealed flat or volumetric vessels are made from it. The entire volume of such a vessel is filled with water, and nozzles are located in its lower part. These are special devices that provide air to the water. Also, bubble panels are equipped with a special compressor and electrical wiring. It provides current to special LED lamps mounted in the system. There are various types of panel data that stand out due to the variety of bubble movement inside the container:
- Systems with many small bubbles.
- Panels emitting large single bubbles.
- Combined systems, that is, bubbles of different sizes are simultaneously formed.
Panel Views
Despite the fact that bubble panels are a relatively new design, they already have a number of varieties. Among them there are both more popular ones (mainly due to the fact that they are cheaper), and those that are in less demand (respectively, due to a very impressive cost). This is not to say that this or that type of panel is ideal for a living room or office, or for a bar. Itβs just that each of them has its own structure of the very basis and its own characteristics of the supply of bubbles, lighting, etc. Note that the most affordable option are cellular designs. They are easiest to mount, easier to install and connect to them all the necessary electronics. Also, honeycomb panels are popular for the reason that they can repeat the bend of any arch, portal or column. Consider each of the types that interior designers can use today.
Cell designs
Such panels are made of acrylic having a honeycomb structure. In other words, the material consists of closed sections that are combined into one "canvas". The thickness of one section is approximately 16 millimeters, and the width is about 65 mm. An atomizer is attached to each such cell, which provides it with an autonomous air supply. When installing this design, it is important to consider that the process of bubble formation in each section must be synchronized. So the design will have a calming effect on the viewer, bringing thoughts in order. If the air release occurs in a chaotic manner, the panel will distract the person. In the room where it will be installed, it will be difficult to relax and concentrate on business.
Swirl panels
They are also called monopanels, or integral structures. This is a vessel that is assembled by joining two identical acrylic sheets due to sealing profiles. The nozzles in these models release air in a chaotic manner. By virtue of this, the bubbles often form vortices in the water, which "draw" a wide variety of patterns. Very dynamic and interesting structure, the only minus of which is installation exclusively on a flat surface. Also note that even photos of bubble panels of this type are fascinating. They can be highlighted in different colors and even change the hue. This is an excellent and very status choice for both home and work space.
Combined Models
The name of this type speaks for itself. These are designs in which various water systems are combined into a single whole. The most striking example is the bubble panel, combined with an artificial waterfall with strings. They can also be combined with aquariums, fountains, water installations and many other accessories, so to speak.
It is important to remember that all bubble panels are complex technical products. They require regular care, which should be carried out by a professional. Care consists in cleaning nozzles, in replacing water, in repairing electricians and replacing lamps.
How does it look in the home
It turns out that this decorative part can also perform practical functions, especially in a living room. Of course, it all depends on how big you install the bubble panel in the apartment, and where it will be located. But in general, its functionality does not suffer from this, but is modified.
- This is an excellent interior partition. If the panel is large, and its height coincides with the height of the wall, then it fully fulfills this role. If you ordered a small design, then it can be used as a partition element. For example, install it in an interior window or niche.
- The panel can be built into a blind niche. So she will fulfill the function of a "live" picture or panel.
- This design is an excellent lamp. It is only important to choose the color of lighting that will harmoniously fit into the interior of the room.
- If there are flaws in the interior design, such a water system will fulfill the role of a false panel, paying all the attention to yourself.
Interior and design innovation
For people who are used to the good old classics, such an innovation may seem wild. After all, it turns out that a certain bright, ever-βmovingβ structure will stand in the center of the room from distracting the eyes of guests from antiques. This is partly true. This development fits perfectly into modern interiors and layouts. It will be a great addition to the style of grunge, loft or hi-tech, it will create a good tandem with neo-classic or modern. However, do not forget that in the modern world it is customary to combine the incongruous. Therefore, bubble panels in the interior of an apartment of any type are relevant. They will dilute the boring classics and make the baroque artsy style interesting and intricate. The panel will be a fresh touch in the home, decorated in the style of Provence or shabby chic. It remains only to find her a worthy place.
Do it yourself
At the moment, bubble panels are expensive. Not only is the material itself worth a lot, you will also have to fork out for installation, for further care of such a system. If you are a good craftsman, you can probably make a bubble panel yourself. There is nothing complicated in this matter, but it is important to know what is being done and how. It is necessary to understand not only the installation of glass, but also the power supply. Well, if you decide, write down what comes in handy:
- Glass for the base (preferably cellular, easier to work with).
- Special glue.
- Compressor (available at the pet store).
- LED backlight.
- Vinyl hose.
- Special valve.
- The most ordinary spray.
Working process
The following components are installed on the podium (this design, on which our "aquarium" will be fixed): compressor, lighting module, airway system, holding valve, power supply. Leaving a little water in the tank, start the hose from the compressor. Through it, air will be transferred to the water. Then we install an acrylic atomizer with special holes so that the air spreads evenly. It remains to carefully consider how you will monitor the water that is in the tank. Definitely, it will have to be added, as it will evaporate. Also, it will need to be changed if it becomes dirty. Do not forget that this process is very complex and time-consuming. It is necessary to know all the intricacies of various physical systems, to be familiar with the laws of pressure.
Finally
The bubble panel is a miracle that can be installed in the apartment. Yes, the pleasure is very expensive, but the result justifies such costs. Despite the fact that this system is incredibly bright and even a little specific, it fits into any interior, regardless of the type of furniture, color or texture.
