Cooling thermostat
You can even say that this is the main element, since it allows you to switch fluid flows between small and large circles. To put it bluntly, the big circle differs from the small one only in that the radiator is involved in the work. When the engine is started, the fluid circulates in a small circle. So it will warm up faster and reach operating temperature (82-87 degrees). A stove is also included in this circuit so that in the car's interior it is possible to warm up faster in winter.

Fluid pump

The sensor, according to the manufacturer, is capable of switching high currents, while it has an impressive resource. But it is better that there is a degree of protection - switching on should be done using an electromagnetic relay, which is controlled by a sensor. So you can increase the resource many times over. In addition, it is necessary in the cabin to have a button connected in parallel with the sensor. With its help, you can force the fan.
Expansion tank
Installed on the body in the engine compartment. It is necessary to maintain the liquid level in the engine cooling system. When heating of antifreeze occurs, it expands, increases in volume. Branch pipes
These are pipes made of durable rubber. Inside there is reinforcement, which improves their parameters. They serve to circulate fluid through the circuits. If you tighten it slightly, then the liquid from the nozzles will gradually come out, a leak will appear. If tightened tightly, the collar or pipe may collapse.
Therefore, when tightening, attention should be paid to physical effort. And do not forget that the service life of the nozzles with a mileage of 30,000 kilometers per year is not very long. There is a need for replacement once every 2-2.5 years. By this time, temperature changes and exposure to moisture, dust leads to the fact that the surface of the pipes is covered with microcracks, becomes brittle. Rubber, no matter how high-quality it is, wears out and collapses. In addition, a leak may occur and, as a result, insufficient engine cooling.
Cooling radiator and stove
Two more elements that make up the VAZ-2107 cooling system. An injector or a carburetor - it does not matter what is in the fuel supply system. The difference between these two radiators is only in size and shape. There is also one small detail - the connection from the expansion tank to the main radiator is connected. Therefore, he has two pipes at the entrance. Both radiators have fans. One contributes to the heating of the cabin, and the second allows for additional airflow for effective cooling.
From this we can conclude that if the fan fails on the main radiator, you need to open the faucet of the stove and turn on the blower. In summer, of course, itβs not very convenient, the effectiveness of this action is much lower, but it allows you to avoid boiling liquid in the system. Cooling system maintenance
In order for the VAZ-2107 cooling system to function normally, it is necessary to carry out its timely maintenance, replacement of elements, as well as flushing. When installing new nozzles or other parts, the amount of deposits in the system decreases, but do not forget that there is a lot of garbage in the unit's shirt and radiators. These are small particles of dust that enter the liquid and settle on the walls. Especially dangerous is the use of water as a cooling fluid. It leaves a large amount of deposits that are difficult to dispose of.
Flushing system
Rinse regularly. It is made simple, just apply a special solution designed for this purpose. Pour it into the system, start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature. After that, turn off the engine, drain the solution and repeat the procedure 2-3 times, just use clean water. Solutions intended for washing are very aggressive and can destroy rubber and metal with prolonged contact.
