The Jupiter Group was founded in 2001 by Vyacheslav Butusov, Yuri Kasparyan, Oleg Sakmarov and Evgeny Kulakov. The vocalist of the team is known for working at Nautilus Pompilius.
Story
In 1997, Vyacheslav Butusov began performing solo. It was then that the Nautilus collapsed. He collaborated with the Lyceum Theater, the Plateau group, Yuri Ilchenko. After the completion of the solo tour of Vyacheslav Butusov, the basis of the future collective was formed. The Jupiter band appeared in 2001 and soon released their first single titled “Shock Love”. One of the first was a concert in DK Gorbunov in January 2002. During this period, the team actively toured throughout Russia, as well as neighboring countries. Mainly performed songs from the solo work of Vyacheslav Butusov himself. Soon the Jupiter group performed as part of the Open Windows festival. In 2003, the first number album "Name of the Rivers" was prepared. It consisted of 11 new songs. It was these compositions that became the basis of the ensemble's further concert program. In 2003, the group took part in a number of rock festivals. The song “Surgies and Lurgs” was recorded specially for the tribute album of the Picnic team. The team left Oleg Sakmarov. He accumulated his own material and founded a separate group. With the participation of the arranger and composer Evgeny Kuritsyn, the album "Biography" was recorded. Soon the tribute album "Nautilus Pompilius" was released. The second part of this work consists of songs by Nautilus Pompilius, which were performed by the Jupiter band. In 2009, a concert was held in the Oktyabrsky Hall. This event was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Nautilus Pompilius. Several compositions at this concert were performed accompanied by an orchestra. The group is touring not only in Russia, but also in other countries. In 2010, an album entitled Flowers and Thorns was recorded at a studio called Dobrolet. Vyacheslav Butusov noted that the idea of this work was inspired by the hippie movement. The album was also released on vinyl records.

We have already described how Jupiter was created. The composition of the group is given below. Vyacheslav Butusov is responsible for the vocals. Yuri Kasparyan assumed the duties of a guitarist. Alexey Andreev mainly focused on keyboards. Evgeni Kulakov took on percussion, beats and drums.

Now let's name the main albums. The Jupiter group in 2003 recorded the record “Name of the Rivers”. In 2004, the album "Biography" appeared. The next work was released in 2008 and was called “Mantis”. The Jupiter group in 2010 recorded the disc “Flowers and Thorns”. In 2015, the album "Goodgora" was released.
