Jelly is an incredibly delicious dessert, which also has several bonuses for culinary specialists: ease of preparation, cheap price and very low calorie content. And the pleasures of eating are mass. The recipe “Sour cream jelly” has a rather specific taste and is often used as a filling for the legendary “Bird's milk” cake. How to make jelly with sour cream? The recipe for this dish confirms the phrase “everything is ingenious is simple”. The set of ingredients you need is as follows.
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar;
- 400 gr. sour cream;
- 1 tbsp. a spoon of quickly soluble gelatin;
- 5-6 tablespoons of sugar;
- 50 ml of water.
To begin with, we process gelatin. To do this, you need to put it on a plate, soak in warm boiled water (the amount of water is determined as follows: gelatin should "drown" in moisture).
Put sour cream in a separate plate. Make sure that it is not oily. Pour granulated sugar, add a bag of vanilla sugar. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Beat on a blender.
Gelatin needs to be heated. To do this, use either a microwave or put gelatin on the stove. It must completely dissolve under the influence of high temperature.
Then we connect the two liquids obtained: sour cream and gelatin. Mix thoroughly. We put the jelly in the refrigerator so that it cools and freezes.
You can use this recipe at any time. Sour cream jelly can be eaten as a dessert if sugar is added there, and as the basis of a jellied dish if salt is added. We prepare jelly by analogy with the previous recipes. Cut fruits - bananas, put them on the bottom of the mold for pouring in an even layer. Then pour jelly into this form. So you get banana jelly with fruits.
