Very often, motorists are faced with a situation where replacement of hydraulic lifters is necessary. The price for this work in various workshops is quite high, so it makes sense to do it yourself. This will save you money, and no one will do better than yourself.
So, let's start in order. Replacement of hydraulic lifters requires the following tools: a desiccant for valves of the classic VAZ range, as well as a standard candle key. I recommend picking up this key from the trash, since it will have to be cut. This is necessary so that your decanter cannot slip off it.
For all vehicles, the replacement of hydraulic lifters is similar. Priora or some other car - the principle is the same everywhere. When you have prepared all this, proceed to unscrew the valve cover. After that, you must remove the upper casing from the belt of the gas mechanism, and then unscrew the sprocket. Next, you need to slowly move it from the base of the camshaft. Now thread a small piece of wire through it and tie it tightly. This is necessary so that your belt does not move relative to this very sprocket.
You shoot the star itself with the aim that it is possible to turn the camshaft and cams. Make sure that the tooth does not jump at all. Next, turn the camshaft a little so that its convex part is up. Before replacing the hydraulic lifters, plug drainage holes with some material to drain the oil, which are located in the vicinity of the fourth cylinder. Since they have a maximum diameter, the valve washer will easily fall into them. In the end, you need to free them.
Now screw the bolt into the place where the valve cover was previously attached . That way we can fix the decurator. Next, insert the candle key directly opposite the bolt that was twisted. It should be on the edge of the spring washer of your valve.
Take a piece of dense wire and make a hook out of it. You will also need pliers, tweezers and (just in case) a magnet. After that, press on the drier, fixed on one side with a bolt. You will press on the key, and it will affect the valve washer.
At that moment, when you press the desiccant with all possible force, with your free hand you need to stir up the rocker in such a way as if you are lifting the part sitting on the hydraulic compensator. Your task is to put a hook under its lower part and pull it out. Replacing hydraulic lifters will be difficult in the case of extreme ones, since there is little free space. You can pull out two or one at a time.
Collect it all you have to in reverse order. Click on the decourer and insert the rocker. If he entered you unevenly, but at the same time stood on the compensator, everything is fine. Release the drier and screw it up with a screwdriver.
As you can see, replacing expansion joints is not a big deal, but it's better if you do it with an assistant.
