Golitsyn Sergey Mikhailovich was born on March 1, 1909. A descendant of the famous Golitsyn princes. The first stories of the writer were published in 1930 in the magazines Murzilka, World Ranger, and Chizh. In 1941, Sergei Mikhailovich was drafted to the front, where he received the Order of the Red Star of the 2nd degree, the medal "For Military Merit" and the medal "For the Defense of Moscow", as part of the Red Army, reached Berlin. Demobilized in 1946.
In the postwar years, he worked at the State Design Institute as a surveyor engineer. In 1959, Sergei Mikhailovich became a professional writer. He wrote such books as “The Legend of Moscow Land”, “Notes of the Survivor”, “Town of Tomboys”, “Rooks Sailing to the North”, “Forty Searchers”.
