The princess has become famous for many centuries for her kind character. She did charity work. When her husband was 38 years old, he died. After this event, the life of Princess Evdokia Dmitrievna changed. In fact, she began to manage her husbandโs possessions, raised her sons. During the reign, the princess built a large number of churches, temples and monasteries.
After 8 years after the death of her husband, the princess decided to leave for the monastery, where she took tonsure. Here she received a new name - Euphrosyne. After the adoption of monasticism, Euphrosyne of Moscow did not live long. But while she was in the monastery, she managed to give an order to begin the construction of a new Ascension stone building for the monastery instead of the old wooden one.
The princess was buried in the walls of the new Ascension Cathedral under construction. Currently, her relics have been transferred to the Archangel Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.
Princess Euphrosyne of Moscow is deservedly considered an intercessor of the state and patroness of the city of Moscow.
