Young performers rarely fall into the ranks of chanson stars. Increasingly, they choose pop or hip-hop style for themselves. Alexander Kurgan did not act like all the young performers, and chose a chanson for himself. He was born in Kazakhstan, but now he is actively working in Volgograd and gives concerts throughout Russia.
The first steps in creativity
Alexander's father was a soldier, so the family moved a lot. When the future singer turned seven, the family settled in Yoshkar-Ola. There is another version according to which Alexander Kurgan, whose biography is very interesting to his fans, was born in a small town near Volgograd. Anywhere, but it was precisely in childhood that the future singer became addicted to music. He, like many young people, independently learned to play the guitar.
Later he began to write music and his own texts. By the time he met with producer Victoria Romanova in 2011, he had already written 300 songs. Thanks to a large amount of finished material and a professional team, Alexander Kurgan was able to release his own album in 2012.
What influenced the work of the singer
Like many chansonniers, Alexander was inspired by the work of Mikhail Krug. In 2016, he even managed to visit the grave of the idol. Earlier, Alexander Kurgan sang the song "Katya", which at one time glorified the Circle. The new arrangement breathed life into the old composition, and the young singer's pleasant vocals helped preserve the sincerity and folklore component of the song.
Alexander shares his success with experienced arranger Maxim Andryukov. According to the singer, without his help, he could not have gained popularity so quickly. Maxim also helped improve some of the compositions, acting as a co-author.
