The purpose of the formation of the Saratov Prosecutorās Institute is to improve the qualifications of specialists for further work in the prosecution authorities of Russia, the North Caucasus, the Volga region, as well as the regions of the north-west. Subsequently, about forty regions of our country were assigned to the institution.
The official opening took place on December 19, 1996. Earlier, in 1976, the institute had three faculties: legal, investigative, and forensic. The number of students last reached more than 1000 people. Shundikov V. D. was the dean and lasted four years. Over the next five years, V.V. Gavrilov was dean. Later Panteleenko V.A. took over the post. He served as dean until 1996.
At present, the Saratov Prosecutorās Institute has six departments: the theory of state and law, constitutional and international law, forensic science, legal psychology, physical education and sports, and prosecutorial supervision. Each of them has a scientific school and unites Russian scientists.
Entry Requirements
Students entering the Saratov Institute of Public Prosecutions for free places that are paid from the state budget are required to receive recommendations from the prosecutor of a subject of the Russian Federation, as well as undergo special psychological testing. With some graduates they conclude an agreement on subsequent employment in the prosecutor's office.
Specialist training
Now the institution provides training for both legal experts and recruits students who receive training in the legal provision of security. The main goal of creating the Institute of Prosecution of Saratov is to increase the level of education of specialists for prosecution authorities.
According to the data of the past and current years, 546 full-time students can study law and 31 in correspondence courses. The passing grade at the Saratov Prosecutor's Office is 223 points, and the term of study is four years.
