How to enter Polotsk Pedagogical College?

The college takes its historical beginning in the period of the Russian Empire. Initially, the educational institution was created as a seminary. Its construction was completed on October 6, 1872. For many years, the Polotsk Pedagogical College has been proving its effectiveness and recognized as one of the best in Belarus in training educational personnel. At the moment, the college has twenty-five classrooms and a hostel, which is located nearby.

History of education

Polotsk Pedagogical College, as a seminary, began its work in 1872. The name of the first director has also been preserved, his name was Krachkovsky Julian Fomich. After 3 years, the first graduates graduated on July 22, these were students of rural schools.

With the coming to power of the Communists, urgently needed personnel capable of teaching children to read and write. And already in 1919, future teachers were taught at the institution . And a year later, and teachers in kindergartens.

In 1975, a dormitory was commissioned for students to live. At the same time, about 350 students of the Polotsk Pedagogical College could live in it. Following the Western fashion, in 1994 they changed the name "school" to a more harmonious "college". And in 2012, the institution successfully celebrated its 140th anniversary.
