Overalls, practical tips for choosing

With the fact that overalls are the best option for winter children's clothing, everyone has long agreed. They are warm, and breathable, and beautiful, and easy to care for, and suitable for any age.

In order to choose the “right” jumpsuit for your child, you need to pay attention to several things.

Overalls, four selection criteria

The age of the child. For a very small baby (less than half a year), jumpsuit - an envelope is perfect. Sleeveless envelopes (they are called envelopes for extracting) usually do not last very long. Already at the age of three to four months, the baby begins to violently express displeasure about the restriction of his freedom.

An envelope with sleeves will last longer, and for a very small child, pens in the sleeves can not be thrust.

A transformer baby overalls will do its job when the baby is no longer always sleeping in a stroller. For active walks it will be possible to turn it into a jumpsuit, for "sleeping" - into an envelope. A good fit is very important for the transformer overalls. Turning an envelope into a jumpsuit should be reliable and convenient.

Outer fabric of overalls. It should have the following properties: repel water, succumb to cleaning, let air through, be durable and beautiful. Most often, nylon, propylene, polyester or specially treated cotton are used as the outer fabric for jumpsuits. All of them to a greater or lesser extent satisfy the above requirements.

Heaters. Perhaps this is the most important component. Overalls should be warm and light. Ideally, this combination corresponds to fluff. When buying a down jacket you need to pay attention to the ratio of the actual down and ground feathers in its "stuffing". On the internal label of a quality product, their occurrence is indicated as down and feather, respectively. If feathers make up more than a third - do not take a down jacket.

The choice of synthetic fillers is quite large. The sintepon is considered the cheapest and worst. It loses its heat-saving properties after several washes. An intermediate option can be considered chlorofiber and faybertek. They do not deform, retain heat, do not absorb water. But avoid buying overalls, the insulation of which is made in China or Korea, alas, their fame is doubtful.

U-TWO, hollofan, hollofil and thermophile are considered to be very good insulation. These are the latest developments - non-allergenic, non-compressive and washable, lightweight and windproof. Their ability to retain heat goes to the level of fluff.

Inner coating. Children's overalls should have a natural lining. Best fleece. It is a pleasant to the touch, warm and hygroscopic material. Summer overalls (they are also called autumn-spring) can be planted on a cotton base. Do not buy jumpsuits with synthetic lining.

Decisive little things

  1. Overalls made in the form of individual jackets and panties on the straps are very convenient. Firstly, in the event of an “accident" the panties can be replaced. Secondly, if during a walk the child enters a heated room, you can remove his jacket from it. Thirdly, children "grow out" of this semi-overalls more slowly.
  2. Overalls should have external or internal cuffs on the sleeves. Winter overalls should have cuffs and sponges. It is very convenient and beautiful if mittens and boots from the same material are added to it.
  3. Both summer overalls and winter overalls should have hoods with a drawstring for additional protection from the wind.

Choosing a good jumpsuit and “packing” a child in it, parents can be calm. It will be convenient for the kid to run and play in the snow, while he will not freeze and will not get wet.
