Biography
Matt Sorum was born in California, Orange County. This happened in 1960, November 19th. His parents are of English and Norwegian descent.
The future musician began to be interested in playing the drums when he saw Ringo Starr. It was in 1964. Later, the artist was influenced by various artists, including Ginger Baker, Kate Moon and Ian Pace. Matt established himself as a first-class musician already in 1975. At that time, the young man dressed defiantly, and this attracted the attention of members of the local group Prophecy.
Later, the musician was noticed by composer Stephen Douglas. He invited him to record an album in Hollywood together with other talented colleagues. In 1988, the musician took part in the work on the debut album Y Kant Tori Read. He was soon invited on tour with The Cult to support the Sonic Tample album.
