Aesthetes and lovers of technological progress can be advised to use special steam generators. The effect from them is almost the same, there is no torment with towels on the walls, and the risk of electric shock from the frayed cord of the iron is much lower.
A plastic spatula will be an indispensable tool for carrying out work related to the removal of old wallpaper. To make them easier to remove, the surface of the material should be torn, scratched with a “wallpaper tiger” with gear wheels. However, in its absence, a paper knife or an ordinary kitchen tool is well suited for the same purpose.
The remains of the old material from concrete walls are removed either mechanically (using the same spatula), or physico-mechanical. The latter provides for wetting with hot water, after which even the most resistant wallpaper will still lag behind the wall. By the way, with the help of such a liquid, old glue is also perfectly removed, so it is worth using this option in any case.
