History of KubSAU
Kuban Agrarian University in Krasnodar is considered one of the most prestigious higher educational institutions. In 1918, its history began - at that time an agricultural department was created on the basis of the Kuban Polytechnic, and in 1922 the institution received legal independence. In early 1960, the Institute opened economic specialties, which significantly increased the flow of students. Agronomy and ecology
This faculty of the Agrarian University of Krasnodar was founded in 1918. The pride of the faculty - its graduates, scientists, breeders: P.P. Lukyanenko and V.S. Pustovoit, V.A., Kovda, G.S. Galeev. Over the years of the faculty, more than 16 thousand people received the profession of an agronomist. Most of them work as agronomists, chief agronomists, farm managers in the agricultural sector of the region and beyond.
Agrochemistry
The Faculty of Agricultural Chemistry of the Krasnodar Agrarian University was established in 1964. Graduates of this department provide crop production services. They are engaged in agrochemical, agroecological, soil research, and control the environment.
Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering
This faculty was opened in 1974. Since its foundation, over 2,600 civil engineers, more than 400 civil engineers, and about 100 masters have graduated. Students are trained in classrooms equipped with modern technologies.
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
This faculty was urgently founded in 1974, because in the region there was an urgent need for veterinarians. Land reclamation
In 1951, this faculty was first founded, and in 1954 it was closed due to centralization. But when the irrigation (hydraulic) construction began in the Kuban, there was an urgent need for hydraulic engineers. And on April 21, 1969, the irrigation and drainage department was reopened.
Faculty of land management
This faculty was opened in 1993 on the basis of the Department of Geodesy of the Faculty of Land Reclamation and Water Management. In 1998, students began training at the Faculty of Land Management. Graduates are involved in land and real estate appraisal, conduct land surveying, establish borders, prepare documentation and register land ownership and other types of work performed by the Federal State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography Service.
Faculty of Animal Science
The faculty was founded in 1950. Thanks to the knowledge gained, graduates successfully work in the field of genetics and breeding, are involved in the production and processing of livestock products, and work with clients on insurance and lending to livestock enterprises.
Faculty of Mechanization
The first student enrollment took place in 1950. The faculty not only trains qualified specialists, but also provides students with places of practice, provides vacancies to graduates at the most advanced enterprises. The Faculty of Mechanics of the Krasnodar Agrarian University has a military department, graduates receive the military rank of officer.
Faculty of Processing Technologies
This faculty was originally created in 1925 on the basis of the Department of Agricultural Technology and Commodity Science of the Kuban Agricultural Institute. The faculty resumed its work in 1999, and the department of horticulture and viticulture was taken as a basis. Students learn to independently produce (using technology) and taste manufactured products, and then conduct a full analysis of them.
Vegetable and viticulture
This is one of the oldest faculties was founded in 1922. Over 85 years, more than 9 thousand highly qualified agronomists and growers-growers have been trained here. Since 2016, the specialization "Ornamental gardening" has been introduced, and since 2007, the specialization "Viticulture and grape processing (winemaking)."
Applied Informatics

Faculty of Accounting and Finance
The foundation year of the faculty is 1978. Its graduates are highly qualified specialists: chief accountants, heads of financial and economic services, auditors, employees of tax and audit bodies, employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Finance and Credit
The faculty was established in 1996, it trained over 3,500 qualified specialists. Graduates occupy leading positions in various fields: analytical, research, financial, organizational and management, banking.
Faculty of Economics
The faculty was formed on the basis of the Department of Land Law about a century ago. The Faculty of Economics was established in 1960. Now he implements training in 12 curricula of three levels of higher education.
Energetics
It was founded in April 1970. Until 1999, training was conducted in only one specialization - "Electrification of technological processes." Later, another specialization was opened - “Energy Supply for Enterprises”, and the department became known as the Faculty of Energy and Electrification.
Faculty of Law
The date of its creation is October 1991. The teaching staff is 152 people, 128 of them have a degree, 32 teachers have a doctorate. Well-known lawyers and scholars teach students in the country. Graduates occupy senior positions in state and law enforcement agencies.
