From 1973 to the beginning of the eighties, the Kherson shipbuilding plant produced an excellent Dnepr motor boat. The termination of its release is associated with an unjustified increase in prices and overstocking of the market.
In 1970, the designers S.S. Bagel and N.P. Sviridenko began to develop the Dnieper. The boat was supposed to replace the outdated model - "MKM". He was set a tight deadline. Initially, they were going to produce Oka or Crimea. But talented designers dreamed of a completely new, original model - comfortable and fast on the go. They very seriously and responsibly approached the issue. The necessary material was carefully collected bit by bit, but when their dream was embodied in metal, at the very first tests the interagency commission made twenty-four (!) Remarks. In those days, this meant either a refusal to work, or a radical change in the project. The designers did not give up and made all the necessary changes to their offspring. In this they were supported and greatly assisted by the employee of the Central Design Bureau I.S. Kurochkin.
"Dnepr" - a boat with a windshield, two soft front seats and aft sofa. If desired, you can expand the bow seats, and between them put a stern sofa. It turns out a soft and comfortable bed, on which 2-3 people can easily fit. The boat provides a place to store tools and various trifles.
