All products have a certain guarantee from two weeks to 36 months, which depends on the manufacturer’s service policy. Warranty obligations are confirmed by the warranty card, as well as a settlement document in the form of a check or invoice, which in the original is provided to customers along with the purchased goods.
You can return or exchange purchased products according to certain rules:
• the goods have not been used;
• its presentation is preserved;
• the packaging is not damaged, and the products are fully equipped;
• the buyer presents a settlement document certifying the fact of sale and also a warranty card issued by the seller.
I must say that warranty service is carried out by service centers authorized by manufacturers. To receive this service for free, the buyer must present a warranty card. It shall indicate the following:
• model;
• date of purchase of goods;
• its serial number;
• guarantee period.
It should be noted that in order to receive full warranty service, the buyer must keep the warranty card for the entire period of operation.
The service center carries out diagnostics of the goods and issues an appropriate conclusion. There may be three options:
• the warranty card is useless in cases where the goods receive mechanical damage due to violation of the operating rules;
• it is valid in cases when there is no mechanical damage and the purchased products are subject to repair;
• in cases where mechanical damage is absent, but the goods cannot be repaired due to the fault of the manufacturer, they must exchange or return the money.
For this you need to present:
• goods of a complete set;
• warranty card;
• documents that confirm the fact of payment;
• the conclusion of the service center, which indicates the significant shortcomings of the goods.
From the above it becomes clear that the warranty card is an extremely important document that must be stored and presented for the replacement or return of purchased products, the quality of which for certain reasons does not satisfy the buyer.
I must say that there are times when the check is preserved, but the warranty card is missing. At the same time, buyers are interested in whether it is possible to carry out free repairs or replace goods.
If a person has lost the warranty card, lawyers are advised to present a
technical passport or other documents that replace it. In case of his absence, the issue may be decided in court.
The seller also needs to provide a receipt for the goods. If this document was also lost, then the buyers are protected by law, which allows you to confirm the fact of the purchase of goods using witnesses. In cases where there is no technical passport and warranty card, sellers have the right to refuse to replace goods with certain defects. In this case, you can go to court, since there is a chance that this issue will be decided in favor of the buyer.
It is worth noting that the warranty card for shoes and, for example, for household appliances is characterized by different validity periods and conditions under which the goods can be returned or exchanged, so you should carefully read all the rules before making any claims to the seller.
