Usually, the one who wrote the term papers does not have problems with writing a thesis. The general algorithm for such a student will be understandable. But there are differences: the volume, rigor of requirements and collegiality of the assessment. That is, the thesis is much larger, every little thing will be important even in the design, and the diploma is appreciated by many people - from the supervisor and reviewer to the opponent. All these people will read the introduction; will the rest be read? In fits and starts, and only the most interesting thing for them personally.
Remember not to forget!
The introduction of the thesis should be impeccable. In this part of the work you are “tasty” and interestingly present the topic. If your “menu” is like, the likelihood of a high rating grows at times. And what about the menu? Be sure to indicate why you are researching your topic right now, this is called relevance. Be sure to note what has been done before you and evaluate the knowledge of the problem at the moment in science. And standardly - research objectives and concretization of goals - tasks, an object with an object, be sure to describe the methods (in general, you will describe the technique in detail later, in the practical part). And you also need to fully describe the sources of information for the practical part. If it is voluminous, indicate that the sources can be found in such and such an application.
When to write?
It is believed that the introduction to the thesis should be written after all the work is written and it is written along with the conclusion. But if you want all the work to be superbly structured and meaningful, to obey one line from the beginning to the end (and only such works qualify for the highest score in standing universities), take good advice - change this familiar order, and you will get an excellent diploma Work. The introduction must be written immediately after the topic has been selected. It is clear that you will redo it ten times (and this is not the limit of the number of improvements), but a thoughtful introduction is a lantern in the scientific darkness.
Rules and Exceptions
For complete confidence in the quality of future work, be sure to check out the requirements of your particular university. In one university, for example, the introduction of a thesis can have a maximum of 3 pages, in another - 5. And in this case, the allowable volume is very important. And harder if the allowed volume is less. Because a lot needs to be stated concisely and it is very difficult for many to single out the main thing and throw away the unnecessary. Use the journalistic rule - if the paragraph does not lose anything without a phrase or sentence - feel free to delete it in a text editor. The introduction of the thesis will benefit from this.

When the introduction is ready, print it out (this changes perception) and go mercilessly through the text with a red pen. And do not do it at the last moment, with the introduction you need to "sleep" at least three times. Corrected in the evening - in the morning they wrote. Repeat the cycle, the more times, the better. Perhaps you should not say that the introduction of the thesis, like all work, must be written independently. "Craftsmen" most often do not know much, and their opuses are calculated instantly. And even if the text is more or less decent, the non-author does not feel the logic of presentation. For a real author, protection is a formality; for a fictitious one, a test.
