Today, no home is complete without electricity. Nowadays, household appliances are becoming more diverse, so it is reasonable to note that the more outlets in the house, the better.
It is important that the installation of the outlet is carried out in accordance with the PUE and accepted state GOSTs. For readers, government officials will check the wiring for errors, inspect the ground, and if there is a discrepancy with the rules, they will force them to remodel, and even be fined.
Today, the installation of the outlet is carried out at least 25 cm from the floor. Installation begins with the markup of the attribute location area. Depending on the preferences of the customer, the recess in the wall can be round or square. The work is carried out with a puncher, while the contours of the holes are subsequently adjusted using plaster.
Installing a
telephone socket can be performed with or without a recess, in this case, unprincipled. At the same time, it is recommended to
install the outlet for electrical appliances with a recess in the wall, thus, accidental physical impact on the case is practically eliminated. Destruction of the base of the outlet may result in a short circuit and electric shock.
The inner part is fixed with sliding legs that act as spacers. If installed correctly, it is almost impossible to tear out the base. Today, external wiring is no longer implemented, as it is unaesthetic: literally, wires and sockets, and switches are mounted on walls.
Before grounding the outlet, a ground loop is carried out . In the open area, a small triangular structure welded from thin strips of metal is buried for several meters. A metal pin is supplied to it, from which a ground loop is made in the form of metal conductors.
Each outlet must be grounded to such a circuit. It is forbidden to ground with a loop. In other words, a separate wire must be connected from each outlet, which is connected by the second end to the ground loop. If the
installation of grounding is made by a loop, then when a break occurs at one of the points, the circuit will break, and life will be in jeopardy.
As we know, the current flows at the least resistance. If a person comes under voltage, then a current flows through it and goes into the ground. In the case of grounding of the device, when a person comes into contact with live parts, the main charge will go directly to the ground. Thus, installation of a socket without grounding is not permissible.
However, such a scheme is relevant when powered by substations with isolated neutral at 0.4 kV. If a “phase” and a dullly grounded “zero” are brought into the house (as, however, today they are done in most cases), then the ground wire is not needed in the outlet. Unfortunately, the testers still force it to be installed, perhaps in the future this will be relevant in all houses.
If the installation of the outlet is done by professionals, then the connection of the contacts is carried out in a certain order (unless, of course, they are energized). Grounding is first connected, then “zero” and only then “phase”. Dismantling is done in reverse order.
