Childhood
The future impressionist artist Bato Dugarzhapov was born in the winter of 1966 in the large and prosperous village of Duldurga, located in the picturesque river basin of the Chita Region.
Over time, the family moved to Moscow, where the boy studied at the metropolitan art school. The talent of the painter was inherent in the child from childhood. Bright images came to life under his light, gifted hand on a sheet of white paper.
The skill of the young artist did not go unnoticed. At the age of seventeen, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings attracted his eyes with his freshness and originality, received an encouraging diploma for the best composition. The competition was held between all art schools of the Soviet Union.
Creative youth
After receiving secondary education, young Bato entered the monumental department at the Academic Institute. Surikova is one of the leading art universities in Russia.
However, the painting and decoration of the buildings did not appeal to the talented Dugarzhapov. He did not like to sit locked up and write on the orders and opinions of the customer. Bateau wanted to create for himself, to capture personal thoughts and views on the canvas, to convey his own vision of beauty and style.
Therefore, while still being educated at the institute, the young man takes part in the All-Union Exhibition of Young Artists, held in Moscow. And later, after graduation, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings have already gained some fame, signs a five-year contract and goes to France.
Creativity Abroad
There, he, paired with other inexperienced artists, falls into a kind of slavish subordination to his employers, who force novice painters to write to wear and tear, and the payment for the work was meager and did not correspond to the real value. In Paris, many paintings by Bateau were in great demand and exhibited in the auction house Drouot.
Rebeling in time, Dugarzhapov decides to leave his dishonest employers and secretly returns to Moscow, where he devotes himself to his free activity and takes an active part in the capital's exhibitions and galleries.
Bato estimates the time spent abroad in two ways. On the one hand, he sold his best works for nothing, without meeting either respect or gratitude. On the other hand, the work awarded him great experience and unprecedented skill. Dugarzhapov had the opportunity to create continuously, surrendering to creative impulses with his whole soul. + He learned to write quickly and efficiently, so that now he can create fifty to sixty paintings in a month!
For the French period, the artist is obliged to write many talented popular paintings, such as Versailles (written in 2006).
For the painter in the first place is not the image of the grandeur and imposing architecture of Versailles, but the transfer of the good, gentle mood that permeates every line, every feature of the canvas. At the age of thirty-three years, the artist was invited to the Maximov creative group to paint the cult building. During his life, Bato used his master-monumentalist skills several times.
The huge fresco images that needed to be decorated made a great impression on Dugarzhapov’s imagination. For example, he had to paint the sixteen-meter wings of Seraphim with a roller. Such creative activity inspired and bewitched.
However, the painter admits that participation in the painting of temples did not make him a more religious person. He has little faith, but he hopes sooner or later to come to God with all his soul.
