The Chelyabinsk Civil Aviation Flight School is a privately owned educational institution that trains specialists in piloting aircraft. Future professional pilots and amateur pilots are trained here. There are also continuing education and retraining courses. The institution has a representative office in Moscow.
Specialty
The Chelyabinsk Civil Aviation School of Aviation provides training in two main areas: commercial aviation pilot (secondary specialized education) and amateur pilot (additional professional education).
On the basis of open source software, training lasts 34 months. Amateur pilots receive a minimum basis of knowledge and skills in just 90 days, and commercial pilots in 10.5 months (DPO program). Also, the school is working on the re-profiling of personnel and advanced training in the management of certain models of aircraft. Teaching is conducted according to the approved standards of the Ministry of Education.
Admission
Graduates of 11th grades of a comprehensive school have the right to enter the Chelyabinsk Flight School of Civil Aviation. The basic rules of admission do not differ from similar conditions of other universities of a similar orientation. Applicants submit an application, a package of documents, including photographs, passport and certificate of education to the selection committee.
Passing the medical commission by the applicant is mandatory. This can be done directly at the institution of the university or at any other medical institution with the appropriate capabilities. Before the main commission, the applicant undergoes preliminary medical examinations and passes a number of tests. The main procedure includes checking the applicant with narrow-profile doctors, including a psychiatrist, narcologist and cardiologist.
Candidate Selection
If two or more applicants with the same number of points apply for one training place for a civil aviation pilot, the choice is made in favor of an applicant who has higher marks in mathematics, physics, Russian and a foreign language (in the indicated sequence).
The second main selection criterion is the results of a psychological examination by members of the commission. More at the university no additional exams and testing are provided. The application period, available vacancies and admission rules with changes are previously posted on the official website.
Features
The SERVANT (Chelyabinsk Civil Aviation Flight School) provides for the possibility of submitting applications online. A document filled out according to the model is sent to the email address indicated on the website. Additionally, duplicates of the passport, certificate and other papers that the applicant will present in the original directly to the admissions committee are attached.
Persons wishing to undergo additional training at the school submit a certificate (diploma) of education, passport, photographs, certificates from a narcologist, psychiatrist, as well as a conclusion on passing a medical examination. To register for retraining or advanced training, applicants must provide a pilot’s certificate and flight book.
Cost of education
Since this flight school is private, training is conducted entirely on a fee basis, a hostel for cadets is not provided. For the entire period of the course in the specialty "Civil Aviation Pilot" you will have to pay at least 2 million 200 thousand rubles. Additional education will cost about 1 million 900 thousand rubles, and retraining - about 500 thousand Russian rubles.
Together with the Sberbank of the Russian Federation, the flight school practices training crediting. To obtain a loan, you need to contact the bank with a passport, application and a duplicate of the contract for training in the SERVANT. In addition, a training license and a receipt of payment issued by the university are attached to the package of documents.
Conditions
The number of cadets recruited annually by the school is maximum no more than 60 people (for STR). In the retraining and advanced training groups, another 30 pilots are recruited.
Students can stay in a hotel located on the territory of the Chelyabinsk Civil Aviation School of Flight. It includes 15 double rooms, the cost of living is 350 rubles per day. Free access to high-speed Internet is provided for cadets. Meals are served in the dining room with 40 seats. There is a conference room for 30 people.
Students can improve their knowledge and spend leisure time in the library with a reading room. You can go through the initial adaptation, get to know each other better and take off the load in the hall for psychological relief (there is even a pool table here).
Additionally
An integral part of training future pilots of small aircraft includes sports. For these purposes, a sports ground with a volleyball net and horizontal bars was built at the flight school, and a gym equipped with all the necessary equipment is working.
Students can seek qualified medical help at a medical center equipped specifically for this purpose. In addition, here you can go through a commission on admission. First-aid kits are required in cabinets and aircraft.
The classrooms where the training is conducted are equipped with visual aids and projectors, and if necessary, a computer class is used. As for employment after graduation, the responsibility for it lies with the graduates themselves, since the school does not provide any patronage in this.
Flight operation of aircraft
The SERVANT in its arsenal has several types of equipment for training future pilots:
- Fifteen units of aircraft Tecnam and Yak-40.
- Simulators P2006 and P2002.
Training flights are carried out under the close supervision of an instructor who analyzes the actions of students, adjusting them in the course of classes. On simulators, various situations that may arise during the flight are simulated. This includes changes in weather conditions, emergency situations, aircraft behavior. The simulator cabin almost completely copies the real analogue.
Teaching theory and practical skills is conducted in parallel, while using special literature, documentation, teaching aids, navigation maps and on-screen presentations to better consolidate the material covered.
Events
The process of training future pilots of small aircraft is closely intertwined with the development of cadets team spirit, responsibility, stamina, ability to make important decisions in a short time. After graduation, prospects are demonstrated on visual stands with photographs of university graduates. After each flight lesson, teachers analyze the situation with the students to the smallest detail, consolidating their skills and drawing the appropriate conclusions.
The Aviation Training Center regularly holds various events in which cadets of the university take part. The SERVANT practices open door days, on which detailed excursions are conducted in educational buildings and the airfield. This allows us to understand the fundamental basis of the school for future students and their parents. Graduates of the university apply for employment in regional companies engaged in commercial air transportation. Applicants are attracted not only by romance, but also by quite decent wages.
Teaching staff
Almost all teachers of the SERVANT have a higher aviation education, as well as real experience in the civil aviation of the Russian Federation. The school has 13 teachers, many of them have various degrees and titles. A relatively young teaching staff boldly introduces modern technologies and methods into the learning process. High quality training of specialists is confirmed by letters of appreciation from airlines to the university.
During their studies, cadets take sessions (twice a year). They are designed for tests, intermediate exams. In addition, students prepare term papers and dissertations at them. At the end of the full course, graduates pass the final exam, thesis and practical test. After successfully passing all the tests, students are issued diplomas that entitle them to qualify for commercial pilot aviation.
Training program
The training cycle includes a number of thematic blocks:
- Social and humanitarian disciplines. This part involves the study of law, philosophy, a foreign language, physical education.
- The mathematical cycle. This block teaches mathematical, physical, and other exact and natural sciences.
- General professional orientation. In this cycle, cadets study labor protection, safety, management and the features of professional activity.
- The practical module is devoted to the skills of controlling aircraft with one or several engines plus production and training practice.
Chelyabinsk Flight School of Civil Aviation: reviews
As the current situation and the responses of people related to the SERVANT show, the situation in the university is now very problematic. Flight licenses were withdrawn from several graduates, and almost 30 cadets may be left without pilot clearance, since the university has not received accreditation. Moreover, the number of people deprived of diplomas can reach several hundred people, most of whom have already successfully found jobs. At the moment, litigation continues, the administration of the university and students do not lose hope for the restoration of justice. But while the situation remains tense and not entirely clear.
