You can, of course, call the landscape designer, hire workers in order to bring the courtyard in proper form. But we often do not trust the taste of others and decorate our yard with our own hands. Firstly, it is much cheaper, secondly, there is the possibility of self-expression and the use of one’s own creative potential, and thirdly, it is interesting and exciting!
Original vertical beds
The first thing we do when we decorate our yard with our own hands is, of course, we determine places for flower beds, beds with greens and vegetables, berries. But, unfortunately, it is not always possible to allocate a lot of land for vegetation: you still have to manage to break up the playground, find a place for an artificial reservoir, poke somewhere in the arbor for summer tea drinking and ... You never know what else you want to place in the yard! In this case, vertical beds will be a real find. They can be made using wooden boxes filled with a substrate and mounted on one another by steps. And you can make them out of metal containers by drilling holes for the plants on the sides. But if you want to save more, then we decorate our yard with our own hands with the help of vertical beds made of large bags intended for construction waste. The bright color of these bags is pleasing to the eye even before the plants completely braid them. Greens can now be planted a dozen times more, it will take very little time to weed, and you don’t have to bend at all to do any vegetation work. One only has to take care of the bag filler: for each type of crop, a special composition of soil should be selected, in which organic and mineral fertilizers are added.

We decorate our yard with our own hands, for example - creative chess
No matter how we would like to use every piece of land to good use, we cannot do without a place intended for a car to drive in or for children to play ball. Therefore, some areas still have to be laid with paving tiles. And here a stunning idea can come in handy! We decorate our yard with our own hands, laying out tiles in the form of a giant chessboard! While the children are playing ball, this is just a sports field. When a car drives up to a garage - this is the place of its temporary parking. But when friends gather to visit, the site turns into an original, creative chessboard. True, in order to decorate the yard with your own hands (the photo is presented here), you will have to think about how to make giant chess pieces. Perhaps someone will carve them out of wood, and someone will prefer to cast it from plaster. And someone like the idea of sculpting pawns and chess elephants using the paper mache method from waste paper soaked in a special solution.
Yard sculptures
Thinking about how to beautifully decorate the yard, many property owners are inclined to think that street figures are one of the most acceptable options. Often, courtyard sculptures fulfill not only the decorative role of landscape decoration, but also carry a practical load. For example, cute dogs, formidable lions and crocodiles, graceful panthers and leopards serve as wonderful benches. A funny gnome with an umbrella in his hand will give a shadow on a hot day to those who rest by the artificial pond. A long-legged stork in its beak can hold a lantern that works evenings and nights, recharging during the day with the help of a solar panel, and a sullen owl with a cord in its beak is an exclusive entrance bell.
