Sang Yong Aktion Sport was created specifically for active young people who prefer to be in the spotlight. The car is equally practical both as an assistant for business and as a family car. But the trump card is the pickup - its value.
It is unlikely that you can find a car of this class, which would cost less than 30 thousand dollars, except that the city crossover, which will be inferior in performance. At the same time, Aktion Sport with its 155-horsepower diesel engine, eight-hundred-kilogram payload capacity and the ability to haul an impressive mass of trailer behind, looks very impressive. The Koreans definitely managed to create a truly fast and powerful car, which is uncharacteristic for pickups.
In the cab there are two rows of seats. The second, obviously, slightly sacrificed capacity due to a solid body, so at least at the feet of a large passenger it may be uncomfortable. As for the trim, it is made in combination leather. The Aktion Sport ceiling console has individual lighting for each row of seats. The dashboard is no frills, but informative and well read.
What is the reason for such a relatively low price? Perhaps there is some catch? No, the car accelerates perfectly, it is well chosen from the low-frequency range, no extraneous sounds are heard in the cabin. Only the not very comfortable suspension, capable of satisfying only modest demands, was disappointing, but a similar “disease” is characteristic of almost all Asian pickups.
Aktion Sport is an excellent unit with all the characteristic features of an SUV. Muscular appearance and dynamic forms successfully complement the already extraordinary extravagant design. All automobile aesthetes and gourmets will be pleased with the powerful hood tapering to the front, massive bumpers, expressive optics and the characteristic shape of the grille. If we talk about the appearance of Aktion Sport as a whole, then, of course, the most daring design decisions are embodied in it.
What can I say, if the exterior of the pickup truck is the work of the creators of such world-famous and revered brands as Bentley and Aston Martin. A good argument, right?
The Korean pickup was developed jointly by local designers and technical experts at Mercedes-Benz, so it is not surprising that special attention is paid to car safety. The high level of protection is designed to provide a frame body structure, a package of "bad roads", shockproof door amplifiers, reinforced suspension, front airbags and ABS and EBD safety systems.
Korean auto designers can add their own brainchild to Aktion Sport. Reviews of car owners only confirm the assumption. Yes, the pickup is not without its drawbacks, but with its more than interesting price, it was not possible to identify any serious flaws. The car remains a niche brand, it can continue to rely on its customers. Technically simple, but at the same time soundly knocked together and inexpensive pickup truck is a beautiful workhorse, adapted to heavy loads.
